Ordered sky as had it in previous house. Engineer came today and first thing he said was don't think you will get a signal cause of the trees out front . We are on a suburban road with trees. He was in and out so fast and just said no it won't work. Does anyone know if there are teams that can put the dish up higher. I don't know if they still exist. Devo we can't have sky ireland as can't cut the tree down.

Which direction are the trees? You need a reasonably clear view of the south eastern sky. It also depends on the height of the trees and their distance from the dish position on the house.

Yeh i think the trees are generally in the SE direction and on the footpath outside our house. Was wondering if anyone recently had people who could put it on the roof?

They won't even go up as far as the chimney!

Independent installers should be able to install on a pole on a chimney but you will have to pay for it yourself.
IF getting sky Q that uses a special lnb and if you have freesat receivers you will need a hybrid lnb.

Any issues with cables lnbs or dish sky wont stand over it as they did not install it.

I would be inclined to mount the dish on a pole attached to the wall, front or rear ...... I dislike things attached to the chimney.
