If it is real (could be a spoof like another poster suggested) it’s a pity they can’t be arrested to make an example to others.
A girl coughed in a garda’s face at the start of the pandemic and was subsequently arrested.

Are you gone daft? What are they doing that even remotely indicates they should be arrested and made an example of? J. Christ. A bunch of kids posting on social media. They're not hurting anyone. Teenage nonsense./pranks/dares.
I'd shudder to think what you'd suggest for people who commit real crimes.
ETA if they have committed serious crimes, fair enough investigate them but on the basis of that tiktok there's nothing in that.

Their understanding of the internet must be limited :D

Probably someone saying I'll sue, completely ignorant of whether they can or not

They just have to be taking the p*ss. That or they're brain-dead.

I'm actually too shocked to believe this.

Hopefully none of them get seriously ill but it was extremely irresponsible(if true). But this was extremely stupid, can't see how anyone can defend their actions. (if true)

It looks like a bored prank tbh.

Some of them do sound like they might have a learning difficulty though.

Not the wisest or most mature group of young ones but based on the video alone, it could simply just be a case of one testing positive and then the rest guessing who will also be positive given they were socialising together previously.

Immature, yes but no worst than that. Save the outrage until there's something to be outraged about.

I’m shocked at the accents they have in Skerries.

Ah, Whatsapp. That reputable source of information.

Yes, read rest of my opening sentence. I said that.

This is some bout of scour.

Ah, Whatsapp. That reputable source of information.

Second only to the daily mail.

I asked Paddy power what odd of the daily mail running a story on this even though it's likely to be a prank.

They said that they don't take bets on dead certs

name and shame, high fines or if minors high fines for the parents

will the reopened schools there have to be closed?

Gonna be KPMG girl all over again!

I've just seen the video for the first time there and, wow, embarrassed for all concerned. Not just KPMG girl

I won't link it as, if memory serves, it was banned on Boards and YouTube at the time after the girl's father took legal action

Suffice to say, that if the Pub restrictions are extended, all the government have to do is play this video at the briefing and say "Here's why we think you're not ready for it yet lads ..."

If this is not true, this is a bit more serious that the typical teenage prank, it's akin to shouting fire in a crowded theatre.

Say it doesn't ton out to be true, this series of videos will likely lead to the suspension of sport in Skerries, and investigations to get to the bottom of it.It may also spark localized lock downs and other tightening of restrictions in the north dublin area.

If it's a joke, no one is laughing.

Not sure why anyone would post something like that on social media, but my outrage meter needs a bit more to get going. Such as a cluster showing up in Skerries.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,647 ✭✭✭✭punisher5112

What absolute fcuking retards this generation seems to be....
Tiktok is a load of balls too.

    These tools think it's hilarious

Is Tiktok private between friends or an open format where anyone can see? I thought it was probably maggot-acting at first but I'd say it's a prank now. Why would they say their name at the start like it's AA or something.

Although the GAA Club in Skerries is closed because of multiple confirmed cases and clusters which have spread into the community because of close contact at training and parties so it's not outside the realms of possibility that those girls are a bunch of dense twits.

Horrible disgusting insensitive b!tches, I have family in the town and my elderly parents with underlying conditions regularly travel down there and were only down there the other day which will cause them so much concern

It can be either. You can have your account set to private or public

It's the new SnapChat for teenagers, they're never off it

Skerries is on the ropes, it's time for Lusk and Balbriggan to finish that stupid lost southside town off once and for all.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,550 ✭✭✭ShineOn7

    Picture the scene:

You're 14, with no underlying conditions and your chance of dying with Covid or even having lasting symptoms must be in the region of about 0.05%. Or at least in that realm, it's absolutely minuscule

Would you be acting the maggot online about it if all your mates were?

I'm 99% sure I wouldn't have. But we have to remember that these are just kids

It's very likely fake imo. They just wanted those sweet, sweet Tik Tok likes. It's a serotonin hit to them

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,987 ✭✭✭normanoffside

By the way this doesn’t sound like a Covid party at all.
To me it sounds like One girl just tested positive and her mates are just wondering which of them will have gotten it off her in the past few days (before she knew). Again, can’t see why there is any outrage.

That’s exactly what it is, there was no party.

On twitter it said that they ordered a bus with 35 of them to a debs they organised.

    It also said this

It won’t stop the morally outraged being outraged.

Their parents are obviously just as thick

Yeah, they’re probably bored AF and this is all a bit of craic to them. They’ve not been doing anything for the past 5.5 months, and one of them testing positive with the virus which has shut down half the world is probably the most exciting thing to happen to their group for a long time. Young ones being young ones.
