It was hardly like this was unforeseeable. There's been a heap of movements over the last two decades, all of which have resulted in pushing the genders apart and removing any degree of trust between them. Even before the metoo movement, male senior management were seeking to distance themselves from female staff, due to the risks of claims for sexual harassment, metoo just put any trust in the grave.

Perhaps if metoo had been grounded in proving claims, and working with (or even improving) the system, but instead, it turned into a mob driven witchhunt, with lovely little tags like #IbelieveHer. The Johnny Depp and Amber heard drama, has really reinforced the dangers of this movement, and encouraged people to see it as an actual witchhunt.

As for this being at women's expense.. both genders are getting badly screwed by this... and it's not stopping. The focus on demonizing men in society is still a very strong movement in itself, from diminishing the importance of fathers, to reinforcing the stereotypes of them being violent (domestic abuse), or as sexual predators, while dismissing/minimizing women's roles as being such. It all combines to push the genders apart..

I was in Seattle a number of years ago and came across his foundation building , its near the Space Needle and the Music Museum.

Bill obviously got ripped off as the Foundation Discovery Center contained presentations that looked like something you'd see in your local library.
It was very amateurish.

Was watching the Expanse last night, and Amos, was talking about how people are essentially tribal, and how civilization influences that tribal nature, but that people remain tribal all the same. It was a really good summary of human nature.

When race becomes so important, the natural result is segregation. It's just that people are seeking segregation with benefits now, as opposed to segregation with negatives. Identity politics, and the race theory crap coming out of the US, reinforces the desire for a more tribal society.
