12 months ago I would have agreed with you...

I had ballooned up, was always hungry, tired and hangry...Dr told me exercise more and eat less...I was doing all that, tracking my food with chronometer and on the bike(indoor on zwift), had dropped the weight in the past and kept it fairly stable...but a bit older found it impossible...

So I read a few bits online about keto and tired it...the weight melted off and hunger is something I don't experience anymore. Yesterday I had big bowl of chili, cheese & eggs and a homemade keto cookies and that was it...

Have since read "Case for Keto"...many doctors and endocrinologist believe obesity is a hormone and/,or mental illness

The problem is that it can be caused by mental illness. Depression leads to comfort eating leads to weight gain, whilst also reducing the desire to go outside and exercise. If you don't treat the depression, diets are a waste of time and just lead to deeper depression.

And that's before we get to talk about genetics and differences in bodily metabolisms.

The idea that every obesity case is down to poor lifestyle choice is up there with creationism and flat earth theory in terms of "I couldn't care less about the science, I'm just going to believe this!"

There is a number of small studies, where removing processed foods from diet improved some mental health issues...but of course that's not all the case for all

Nor saying that keto works for everyone, but it is certainly better than the typical western diet... diabetes and obesity and through the roof

agree with this , some people can get away with eating like a horse , Im one of them though the painkillers i now take for chronic pain have made me hungry a lot more and ive put on about two stone since summer of 2019 , heaviest ive ever been , im circa 15 stone 3

Women are front and centre on everything from white privilege to gender pronouns to toxic masculinity compared to men, especially in the mainstream media.

No, not in this case. There are some women in support of males accessing female spaces but the most vocal on this topic are men, who have absolutely nothing to lose. It's an easy thing for them to support to gain progressive kudos as it comes at no cost to them. I've been following all this on social media for quite some time. Men are at the forefront of admonishing anyone who objects to this erosion of women's rights. It's revealed to me how many supposedly progressive men are actually deeply resentful of women and happy to see their rights eroded. It's been eye-opening.
