amazing day overall today in Meath and Dublin, went to the Phoenix Park and the place was packed with people enjoying one of the few warm and sunny days we've had this year. Today is probably the best day overall we've had since June.

A very cold day in claremorris due to the strong wind
Any sunny spells were few and few between
It was more like proper autumn day as the leaves came flying off the trees . At least there was no water falling from the sky .

Best day since 8 August for me. Spent the day at Laytown and Dún Laoghaire. Very little cloud and perfect feeling temperature with a nice coastal breeze.

Sunny start here near Tralee and cloudy in the afternoon with a bit of mist near the mountains and brightened up very nicely in the late afternoon.

Got up to a very decent 19.8C here and still mild at 15.4C

Pics taken mid afternoon from the Kerry cliffs near Portmagee in S Kerry, visibility not great but with the bracing wind and crashing waves below made it quite spectacular. Skelligs in the background of the third picture.

high pressure pretty much for the next week, pity this didn't happen in July or August. Low 20's in mid September would be more like mid to high twenties in July and August. Looks like i'll be able to continue the gardening work that I abandoned towards the end of June.

No sign of any weather coming our way? It's all a bit meh at the minute.

RTE are saying 26c tomorrow in Dublin. I hope it's not too cloudy though.

About 16C here in Tralee, cloudy start but a few breaks now. Some light rain overnight and what looks like Sahara dust on the car this morning.

A beautiful morning now in Kildare and calm which is a contrast to yesterday. Already 21°c

I am beginning to suspect that we may see the warmest mid-September period on record. Not unusual to get into the high teens, low twenties by day at this time of year with high night time, mid-teens minima, but for such an extended period, as is forecast, seems a little out of character for the time of year.

We could see some elevated convection tonight from this upper frontal system that's currently in the process of forming down off Iberia. If nothing else it may give some nice castellanus.

an absolute peach of a day here in Meath, also this is the first time we've had two sunny days in a row since May 31st/June 1st.

This is officially the best spell of weather we've had in Meath since Spring.

Stunning weather in D5. September has been a huge improvement. May and September nearly always deliver great weather. Sitting in the garden with the sun beating down again, hardly a cloud in the sky.

tomorrow looks fantastic as well, 24 or 25C is possible in Dublin, Meath and Kildare tomorrow.

After having our disaster of a summer we really deserve this spell of mid September warmth.

23c at 1pm at Phoenix Park.

Today is the 5th day this September to reach 21C or more, most other days have reached 17 or 18C, this really is showing up how poor we had it in July and August. Low twenties likely again tomorrow and then maybe 20C on Wednesday before the cooler easterlies take over. Going to make the very most of the next two days or so and even after this it should remain mostly dry till about the 23rd of September. September really delivering here.

Cool and cloudy with showers in West Clare. Slight easterly breeze.

Vintage, stunner, cracker, peach... all very appropriate for a day like today in Dublin. One of the nicest days all year round.
