    Google Ted yoho and AOC..

A Republican member of Congress reportedly called Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a "****ing bitch" after he criticized the New York City Democrat's stance on crime and policing during a confrontation on Capitol Hill.

The Hill reported that Rep. Ted Yoho of Florida accosted Ocasio-Cortez on a flight of stairs Monday as she was on her way to vote.

"You are out of your freaking mind," Yoho reportedly said, referring to her recent comments attributing a rise in crime in New York City to unemployment, poverty, and "economic desperation" brought on by the coronavirus pandemic.

After Ocasio-Cortez told Yoho he was being "rude," the Florida lawmaker then called her a "****ing bitch" once they parted ways, according to the Hill.

WASHINGTON -- A nonpartisan Christian organization that seeks to end hunger said Saturday it asked for and received the resignation of Rep. Ted Yoho from its board of directors following what it called his “verbal attack” on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., accused Yoho, R-Fla., of using a vulgar and sexist insult while upbraiding her during a confrontation last Monday on the steps of the Capitol. Yoho maintained he did not use the words cited, though a reporter who witnessed the incident confirmed the language as she described it.

In a statement, Bread for the World said its board met Friday with Yoho and sought his resignation “as an action that reaffirms our commitment to coming alongside women and people of color, nationally and globally, as they continue to lead us to a more racially inclusive and equitable world.”

On its website, Bread for the World says its “collective Christian voice” lobbies Congress and the administration on ending hunger nationally and worldwide.

“As a bipartisan Christian organization committed to alleviating hunger and poverty through sound public policies, Bread for the World upholds the values of respect, dignity, and compassion that Jesus calls us to when engaging decision makers from across the political spectrum," the statement said. “We believe that Rep. Ted Yoho’s recent actions and words as reported in the media are not reflective of the ethical standards expected of members of our Board of Directors.”

A spokesman for Yoho did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment.

In an extraordinary speech Thursday in the House, Ocasio-Cortez offered a dramatic account of the incident and broadened her remarks to assail what she called a sexist culture of “accepting violence and violent language against women." More than a dozen colleagues joined her in casting the incident as all-too-common male behavior.

Yoho has described the encounter as a brief policy discussion and said that “no one was accosted, bullied, or attacked." He expressed regret for his "abrupt manner."

Ocasio-Cortez, 30, is a freshman progressive who has gained praise and criticism for her outspokenness. Yoho, 65, one of the most conservative members of the House, is retiring at the end of his fourth term.

For me, it shouldn't be that hard to understand how a system where one person can increase their wealth by $74B while 20,000 of their workers contract Covid-19 is not in the best interest of society.

I'm all for entrepreneurship, people profiting from their skill, efforts and ideas but the pendulum has swung too far in one direction and needs to be pulled back a bit.

What is strange is when people who are closer to being among the 20,000 than the elite, are advocating for a continuation of the same system which allowed this to develop.

I didn't say the current system is working as it should. That doesn't mean socialism is the answer. I can't believe there are people who still do.

I'm a fan of Trump and the GOP but I would prefer to see Hilary given the presidency for life than AOC getting one term.

She also gets an easy ride from a left leaning fawning press that 'we' over here are lap up.

I can just see her in 20 years going for election and back tracking furiously when her quotes from younger days are played back.

No one is calling for the socialism which Trump, the GOP and right wingers are spending all their time arguing against.

Life begins at conception. Any biologist would tell you that. Moral relativists might disagree but they are wrong.

Also, people being euthanised are not alive?

Didn't the Federal Government restart executions under the #IMPOTUS administration after something like 17+ years without them.

It is what it is, I suppose. Personally I think it's the GOP the bloodthirsty ones, especially the #IMPOTUS administration.

Just executed a woman for the first time in 53 years.

    I guess it's a GOP thing

There is a line a lot of the public do not have to stomach to cross when it comes to abortion, in terms of how progressed the pregnancy is, in some states in the US what they are doing is grotesque.

Nope. Taking another human life is never acceptable.

Meanwhile in Holland they are working on legislation to euthanise children.

In England a woman was pressured to abort her down syndrome child at 26 weeks.

    Pure evil.

She's a socialist... not that I want to get into that debate but, seriously? No problem with that?

By this standard, Ireland is socialist so I'm fairly grand with it to be honest.

In my view, she is one of the most impressive political candidates anywhere right now and I hope we see her in congress for at least another 20 years before she attempts a run at the Presidency.

AOC is an actress who won the audition. Whenever she is confronted with serious questioning she falls apart and comes across as a cocky child. She makes Greta Thunberg seem like an intellectual heavy weight. In 20 years time younger smarter versions of AOC will have established themselves and she will be a largely forgotten.

    Bernie calling it once again.

    https://twitter.com/BernieSanders/status/1319620620871716864

With the likes of Obama, Bernie, Pete Buttigeig and AOC, the Democrats have a much stronger supporting cast lending their voice to Biden's campaign.

    Trump in comparison seems alienated.

It should be Sanders' campaign. Not Biden's. Bernie would run rings around President Twitter in any debate.

    "Socialized medicine"

    For fuck sake.

I actually think Sanders would have been an easier opponent for Trump.

I couldn't believe it when Biden won the primaries, against the candidate advocating for more widespread available healthcare at a time when Covid was decimating the country, but, that's what happened. And I say that as someone who wanted Sanders to win.

Many Americans are bizarrely concerned that communism is at their door irrespective of the reality and it would have been easier for Trump attack Biden in this way.

I clearly said people suffering terminal prognoses. If I need to be painstakingly clear, I am referring to terminally ill adults. Pulling teeth?

Bernie would be to the right of Fine Gael in Ireland.

The idea he is some communist is hilarious.

I came across an interesting thread on Reddit last weekend..

Democratic run states and cities pay more into federal taxes then red states/cities.. red states benefit more from federal taxes then blue states..

Socialism.. sounds like it's time to break this blue socialist union that's keeping red states afloat..
