Why would there be? A bunch of idiots crowding together in the middle of pandemic that continues to worsen is nothing to celebrate.

A Pandemic that thankfully is not as bad as we were led to believe.

The numbers of people showing up to a Trump rally isn't a scientific measurement of much apart from how many people want to go to any given Trump rally. If rally attendance translated to polling, the percentage chances of the two main candidates would be flipped. Are Trump supporters convinced that the rallies are sure evidence of a landslide victory for their man? What should worry Trump is what all the people of voting age who are not attending his rallies are thinking because it's those people who'll make or break him on November 3rd.

I don't think the rally attendance or the unprecedented massive public support that is being witnessed is a scientific measurement either, in fact, for the last 6 months at least before these rallies/events started to appear I believed he was going to win.

They are of course a very visible indicator, for what that is worth.

This election is completely off the charts in terms of what you would usually see...

Joe's repeating that Dark Winter Ahead line at rallies. I thought it was kind of off the cuff in the debate but no it seems like an actual slogan!

The Trump rallies are a visible indicator of two things.

    1) Trump really gets off on the adulation.

    2) Those who support him are quite vociferous about it.

If Trump goes to a city with a population of 500,000 people and pulls a crowd of 10,000 for the rally he puts on, that's great for him, but it's not any particular indication of what way the other 490,000 people who didn't show up plan to vote.

Donald Trump enjoys 'unprecedented' public support, yet no single poll gives him an edge in the election. If this support is so public, you'd think they'd be telling pollsters, and not be 'shy' about it.

Biden now has an 87% chance of victory according to Fivethirtyeight assessment of polling averages.

It's been that way for a while tbh

National polls still very encouraging as well

China and WHO have a lot to answer for when this over.

China is pretty much back to normal internally after dealing correctly with the virus.

    So you're saying either:
    a) it's China's fault the virus spread as some sort of hostile act, in which case they've shown how completely incapable the American administration is at dealing with it
    b) it's China's fault the virus spread due to China not containing it well initially, and in so doing they've shown how completely incapable the American administration is at dealing with it

Outside of those two, you're into the realm of conspiracy theories (it was man made, they have a vaccine ready, it's due to 5G, the stuff to talk about over on the CT forum)

Either way, it's not a good look for president small-hands.

They also vet the crowd first, it's all a sideshow act, reminiscent of Barnum and Bailey from the turn of the last century, some people fall for it.

The only thing that matters is how many turn up at the polls

    Biden will win easily

New Hampshire Union Leader endorses Biden. First Democrat they've endorsed in 100 years. Old William Loeb turning in his grave

Biden supporters are smart enough to keep themselves healthy. Same cannot be said for Trump supporters, unfortunately. Let's not forget, the Trump campaign also regularly pays extras to inflate crowd sizes at these rallies.

Trump can amass his base all he likes, maskless and huddled, he has their vote anyway. The support for Biden can be seen in voting lines around the country. Young voters, in particular, have been showing up in huge numbers, safely and socially distanced.

It's great seeing so many young people making their voices heard and we're still just over a week away from the election. Many of them didn't have a vote in 2016, but it really looks like they're mobilised this year!

Don't get the rallies, Surely it is preaching to the converted or have I got that wrong.

Probably a bump for the candidate who loves the adulation.

have to love how many people firstly blindly believe Putin, and secondly how many still hold up that he's the puppet master.

Rule 1 of understanding Putin's intentions: believe the public utterances of Putin.

LOL. The Steele Dossier was paid for by Hillary Clinton. It’s disinformation and nothing more.

Trump is anti war he’s not pro Putin.

See. A good example here of the real snowflakes (Trump supporters).

    Trump is the alpha male.

The supporters are the betas pumping up their chests in defence of the alpha.

    How admirable.

Yeah, such a lapdog he armed Ukraine with lethal weapons, something Obama wouldn't do in his 8 years.

There's also been the following sanctions:

Trump being docile to Putin is an invention of the left.

Mitch McConnell basically conceding the Presidency and the Senate.

    https://www.theguardian.com/law/2020/oct/25/mitch-mcconnell-amy-coney-barrett-supreme-court-republicans-democrats-mike-pence-covid

But the democrats won't be able to undo the surpreme court for a "long time"...which is the only reason the confirmation was rushed. Republicans knew the end was coming for Trump and they have long since priced it in.

Trump is docile to pretty much any dictator in the globe. He generally seems to deeply admire them. Meanwhile he can't seem to cope with a conversation with the likes of Merkel without almost starting a diplomatic incident.
