Trump doesn’t lie, he’s just incorrect about nearly everything he says.

That’s not lying, that’s incompetence and it’s clear the Pete has no issue with that.

The acceptable standard for President according to Pete in incompetence as long as that incompetence is shrouded in racism, narcissism, nepotism, republicanism and a whole lot of other undesirable character traits that Pete admires.

Remember lads it's not "lying" when Trump says it, it's "alternative facts".

This is my map at present. I think trump will just pip it with a 275-9 lead.

The ones I've put in yellow could absolutely go either way (but Biden will take the lions share of them). I think NH and WI giving trump 278 are the most likely outcomes for him winning.

PA is most likely all Biden town but trump could pull a sneaky one there.

If Biden wins (which is possible) it'll be at the rust belts doing.

    Biden 2/5
    Trump 15/8

I’m tempted to throw a few euros on a Trump win here.

Biden was seriously woeful in the debates.

Trump was well Trump. You know what you’ll get there.

If it was Ireland Biden would be a shoe in. He’s pure left wing “man of the people”. He’s gas to listen to. I honestly think that he thinks he’s the second coming!

Trump on the other hand is as right wing as they come. A man of the economy. (His version of it)

Depends on what the American people are looking for at this point in time i suppose.

Maybe they want change from the loonatic that is trump.

I will say though if I was American I’d probably vote for trump even if he is a colossal idiot purely on the basis that he won’t close down the country due to Covid. Learn to live with it is the only way the world won’t fall apart.

Biden on the other hand is likely to shut up shop, literally.

Yep, it's definitely Joe Biden and not Donald Trump who thinks he's the second coming

    Trump 15/8

If you're a gambler, you'd be mad not to put a €1 on at 50/1.

2/5 is a bit short given the state of the polling, probably value when it hits 1/4 or 1/5 for a small bet. Will be interesting to see the odds by Monday when the early voting starts becoming more known.

It's also definitely worth putting a bet down with Eric on Nevada, even at 2/1.

I am too, based on my knowledge of Michigan, which will be a key state.

While the press and polls tell us that Biden is ahead in Michigan, my partner's family, who live in various places across the state, both rural and urban, tell me that there are nothing but Trump / Pence boards in people's yards. I was there before the last election and saw first hand the same dynamic (along with countless "lock her up" banners). The visible evidence of voting preferences just don't match the polls, like last time

One way or another the credibility of a lot of posters is going to take a hit after this election.

My prediction is Biden to win easily enough, the EC will be close but the swing states Trump needed to win won’t be that close.

Biden to win the popular vote too by more than Hilary c. 5m votes.

So the shy Trump voter is a complete myth then?

Maybe the fact that the pollsters just keep finding them is some mad fluke...

Ah yeah sure we all know trump loves himself but Biden is coming across, to me anyway, as an I’m holier than thou perfect god like character.

It’s just odd is all. Again maybe the American audience will buy into his “wholesome” family values.

Personally I thought it was very cringey every time he addressed the American people with his I’m one of you type statements.

Yeah when he released him and the missus' tax returns and everyone was like well done Joe, I was like, how much are these folk earning?!

I suggest you read up on Bidens, early life, education, etc. And then compare that to the narcicist in chief. Biden is a man of the people with an ordinary upbringing. The opposite applies to Trump. He's not of the people and has nothing in common with them. His early life was that of a very wealthy, privelidged and spoilt brat. His sister, a Judge, clearly found him very unpleasant as a child and has nothing good to say about him.

Bets are on ...these things roll around 1 every 4 years and worth the spend. Paid off handsomely last time .

    Heavy on TRUMP outright
    Heavy on Pennsylvania and Ohio
Also on Trump for Florida, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Georgia .
And small nibble on Trump for Michigan
edit : Forgot Trump 270-299 Electoral College Votes
Various odds but low 4 figures on gets high 4 figures back . lets see if I win , break even or suffer pain in the pocket and lose the bragging rights for 4 years
Also a cheeky 50 quid on 35/1 an electoral college draw 269-269

Theres still time to add to this ...
any anti-TRumpers who have put their money on Russia4eva coming thru for them ...

Unless you are going heavy on 270-299, no way do 'low 4 figures on gets high 4 figures back'. The bets you have quoted would barely go over 2/1, if at all.

This reads like a 14 year old giving vague details to allow an 'I did it!' after the fact. With a restrospective from his 10 year old self saying 'I already did it!'.

Suggest I read up on what?

The dog in the street knows what you just wrote.

It’s just gas how they’re both playing on them.

Trump at this point doesn’t even have to bother but Biden is literally ramming it down the audiences throat at every given opportunity.

Ireland has only ever had a centre right party in majority power

Biden is no left-winger. The centre is to the left of the Republican party but they don't understand it

Yeah Americans seem to lap that stuff up, even fairly sophisticated ones. John Edwards used to lay it on even thicker, and he had a fairly good run for the Dem nomination.

Fair enough on your first point historically but we’re definitely swaying more left than ever with the likes of Shinners and other smaller socialist parties getting a decent chunk of the vote.

Biden may not be left wing in reality but is definitely trying to portray himself that way.

Honestly watching him I get the opposite impression, that it's Republicans eager to portray him as being left wing or socialist and he's been constantly defending it with his "you're running against Joe Biden not Bernie" remarks.

To me he's been at pains trying to point out that he's more centrist. And he's definitely more Christian than Trump is and has questionable views on things like Gay marriage

It is off topic, but I don't think SF can't be determined as Left or Right at this point, and not until they have had an opportunity to govern.

Since the GF agreement, they've largely leaned towards supporting Left 'ideals' but time will tell if that was an inherent position, or a growth strategy.

The US would look at Ireland as being a very Left wing country (If they actually looked long enough to consider it), I would view the US as comfortably right wing so equating Left or Right in either country with their 'comrades' in the other doesn't really work.

SF have always had left ideals. they are a left wing party and always have been.

Would this be the same "education" that he lied about and was exposed for, which partially resulted in the end of his run for President in 1988??

I say partially as he was also exposed for other lies too, such as plagiarizing Neil Kinnock and RFK speeches.

    The chap is a sleazeball.

I have a hunch that Trump is going to win. All down to a hopeless Democratic candidate in Biden. If he could beat Hilary C., then he won't have any problem with Biden. Its just a reflection of how society is now, unfortunately. Basically, most politicians are pure useless and in it for their own selfish reasons. No such thing as real leaders anymore, not that there were many in the past. Time to get a new model of governing the country, possibly with civil servants acting on the orders of the public. Votes on any key issues could be done easily these days, with people all connected to the net. No need for politicians any more.

At least the rallies would be good, he could do a few tunes!

I would don a Made in China MAGA hat for a free Kanye gig.
