    Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a right-wing member of the Norwegian parliament, has nominated Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for his role in brokering a peace between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

    Zero achievement in being nominated imo. Hey I suppose it will give him something else to spout and boast about at his rallies

    This is how 'credibility' is built.

    Headline like "Trump nominated for peace price" - sounds good, doesn't it - a little bit of click bait (as the independent need the sales), but factually correct.

    Of course - who here knew the process for nominating someone? I didn't know it was so straight forward, that any elected MP can nominate practically anyone. But who reads articles anymore? Instead, somewhere in the back of the head are the words "Trump" and "Nobel Peace Prize" - all nice and warm and fuzzy sounding.

    Bit of a joke really as usually to broker peace you need to actually give a fu(k about other people, something that I have yet to see as even a capability in Trump.

    I bet it would be hard to find something where he done good that wasn't all about his self image or himself looking good.

    Trump is absolutely morally bankrupt. To suggest otherwise is the funniest thing you will read all day.

    I can admire his determination, his appetite to succeeded, other attributes. But he is far from moral and doesn't show any actual leadership. He would kill his, yours or anyone's granny if it meant him getting ahead.

    Kennedy launched a huge terrorist campaign against Cuba, which was very serious. No joke. Bombardment of industrial installations with killing of plenty of people, bombing hotels, sinking fishing boats, sabotage

    And then came Vietnam; he invaded Vietnam. He invaded South Vietnam in 1962. He sent the U.S. Air Force to start bombing

    A good man that happily incites racism, Fu(ks over the poor, talks sh!t about the disabled, women, and other groups. Will screw over his own staff on camera, uses his podium to call journalist that dare to ask a question he doesn't like dumb and idiots, can barely read stats, bullys and undermines whenever the opportunity presents itself and a multitude of other issues.

    Now as someone who you want to run a country, you may appreciate some or even all of those qualities. Some people absolutely do 'lead' with an iron will and it can be effective. But no one surely, with a straight face, can say that he is either good or a man.

    Put it this way, would you want him as a role model for your kids/nieces/nephews?

    Isn't half the country he claims to lead fighting with itself. Sure such a peaceful leader would have found a way to resolve these issues?

    Even if you try and blame whatever group for starting protests or whatever, wouldn't a peaceful president find a way to end the fighting in the streets? Or is making campaign videos from it more effective?

    Didn't he make a list if civilian targets he would go after at one point? Breaking all convention and again showing a complete disregard for human life in order to win popularity.
