It will be hard for those of us who grew up with Michael Rosenbaum,... incredible voice....

Jon Cryer, I actually never saw him in an episode... too much travel with work,.

Now this guy, I will have to go to youtube to hear what he sounds like. But as long as there is no square based planets in our physical universe, it will be an improvement.

I actually thought the square planet was brilliant and really well done and raging Star Trek never done that but it crashing into the normal Earth from the Normal Universe was silly.

Supposedly it costs $5 million dollars per episode. With The CW cutting costs not sure if it will last another season.

Watched the first episode of season 3 this morning. I had low expectations for it. Was just thinking this is going to be so crap now with all the good shows out but it beat my expectations and I really enjoyed it. It's actually quiet a good episode where a lot happens and some good funny moments too.

You would barely notice the new actor for Jordan either although he barely gets much to do in this episode anyway.

    Peace and long life.

Yeah good episode and fyi that villain in the mask was Onomatopoeia who is usually a Green Arrow villain.

Decent enough alright. Good casting for Jordan's replacement.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,556 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Probably because it's the same actor for Jordan. 😀 ( I got mixed up as well when posting somewhere else.)

But, yeah, they literally introduced the new Jonathan at the beginning of the episode to be sure the audience wasn't confused that's who he's meant to be.

Probably due to not wearing baggy dark clothes and having her hair down, but Sarah looked different.

Lana taking money from the crime protection fund?

Good start to the season and curious to see where it goes.

    Another good episode.

    I'd put money on...

Vagina-face zapping Lois's cancer by the end of the season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,273 ✭✭✭EoinMcLovin

Took me few seconds to realize you meant. You mean onomatopoeia?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,571 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

Yep, didn't know his name. 🙂

Well that was an episode with many ups and downs and feelings involved too. I was crying for Lois but even before she had said it had guessed it right. Always great when a show really touches your feelings.

Hopefully that's the end of mopey Jordan with Sarah.

Speaking of Sarah, it's like she's completely changed this season. Not as moody and wearing brighter clothes.

I won't be watching season 3 of this. While the actors were well cast - the set was just too dark. Plus I'm getting tired of story arcs.

I long for a mix of arcs plus stand alone episodes.

I find it's the same on Stár trek. Dark sets

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,556 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Could a normal barber even cut Jordan's hair?

And John Henry has a lot of faith in his suit.

The diner scene reminded me of the end of Superman II.

Yes I was thinking that too but maybe his hair is not like Clarks since he is more human and Clark aka his father is from krypton.

The diner scene reminded me of the end of Superman II.

    Yes me too.

Overall I thought it was a very good episode and I must say the actor playing Lois is much better this season and really makes you feel for her with her sickness now.

Well not that much happened on that episode but with the reveal at the end it looks like we are going to get a rematch of someone Superman has fought before.

That episode was a bit of a yawnfest, especially when you consider 1 guy dancing was the best part.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,556 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Don't know if this week's episode was being meta in pointing out that everyone forgets about the younger daughter.

Maybe she'll be in it more.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,286 ✭✭✭Brief_Lives

    Terrible actress unfortunately..

    Yes I know she's young.

Well that was a twist and a half at the end of that episode. I did not see that coming.

So the question is is Matteo bad too or does he even know about

What his Dad and Mum get up to?

Also has she still got this sonic power and who was the one with it that was wearing that weird mask?

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,273 ✭✭✭EoinMcLovin

She is the person that was wearing the mask, she's clearly a meta human. Regarding Mateo, I had a feeling he was Brunos son since he was first revealed. I never clicked on his wife but him being the son is typical CW drama. Natalie is basically dating the son of the guy who killed her father's doppelganger

Dylan Walsh out ahead of season 4, the first casualty of budget cuts

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,272 ✭✭✭✭Agent Coulson

Clark & Lois and the two sons are the only cast returning everyone else has been let go.

Copied from Facebook (just to show the scope of the cuts):

Superman & Lois 7 Series Regulars Cut Ahead of Season 4

The seven cast members who have been cut: Dylan Walsh (as General Sam Lane), Emmanuelle Chriqui (as Mayor Lana Lang), Erik Valdez (as Lana’s ex-husband Kyle Cushing), Inde Navarrette (as Lana and Kyle’s daughter Sarah), Wolé Parks (as Superman’s ally John Henry Irons), Tayler Buck (as John Henry’s daughter Natalie) and Sofia Hasmik (as Smallville Gazette editor-in-chief Chrissy Beppo). TVLine has confirmed Walsh’s departure.

The deep cuts leave just four returning series regulars for Season 4: Tyler Hoechlin (as Clark Kent/Superman), Elizabeth Tulloch (as Lois Lane) and Alex Garfin and Michael Bishop as Clark and Lois’ twin sons, Jordan and Jonathan Kent, respectively. Additionally, Michael Cudlitz, who is set to debut this season as Lex Luthor, has been promoted to series regular for next season.

Now is the time for Lana's youngest daughter to shine, now she got away from the family holding her back. 😀

Unless the Kents are going to move back to Metropolis, I'm not sure what they'll do. I know they'll still probably have guest roles in some capacity.

Especially since the cuts have just been announced. I doubt they were known before season 3 finished which means we'll be left with the Kents saying how Lana, John and the girls have moved to Central City while Kyle and Chrissy have moved to Star City. Lois's dad is now heading up Argus's classified secret department.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,273 ✭✭✭EoinMcLovin

Just because they were cut as series regulars doesn't mean they could be completly gone from the show. They could still come back as guest stars but I doubt most of them would want to. They will probably bring in new cast of lesser known actors who cost less

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,571 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

Michael Cudlitz was fantastic as Lex. He's a great actor and very menacing in the role.

Kinda raises my hopes for Season 4 again after the cast cuts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,556 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Well good job it hasn't been cancelled or that would've been up there with Angel for a final shot of a series.

A lot of setup for getting people out of the show, so seems it was decided before now.

Guess that change for Bizarro was teased from the suit he wore when he first showed up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,571 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

Slow enough finale up to the last 10 minutes, but then it ramped up. Good cliffhanger too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,273 ✭✭✭EoinMcLovin

Pretty unique way in bringing in Doomsday. He kind of looks like Abomination from the Ed Norton Hulk Movie though. I preferred Krypton's version though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,865 ✭✭✭✭fritzelly

Oooh that was a good ending, needed more of it in the episode tho

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,556 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

The fact that Superman tried to kill him was a bit strange, especially considering he was trying to help him last season.

I think it was gone beyond help at this stage.

Superman should have made sure it was froze him in ice 10 feet thick and buried it in the coldest deepest depths of the Ocean instead of bringing it back up when he had froze it in ice or throw it into the sun while it was frozen. See it survives either of them.

Good episode do. Certainly looks like a lot is set up for season 3.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

kind of makes sense, it was the same with The Suicide Squad in Arrow, once the movie came out there was no more mention of it in the show

Season 1 was hit or miss but Season 2 was a lot better with Zod, Brainiac and Doomsday. But it was a SyFy show so the budget wasn't great

Elizabeth Henstridge has been cast as Lex Luthor's daughter
