Just thought i'd update this one - slight twist in the story.

Collected the car .. happy out .. drove for a few days when bump ... limp mode, no power and just about managed to get it to the side of the road.

Called the dealer - as i've always had it serviced at a main dealers apparently it was covered by Skoda Assist - so off on a flat bed again and I was given a rental for 5 days.

Turns out that the injectors were acting up - it seems the mechanic decided to do the 'VW software emissions update' which I had declined on a number of occasions.

So .. new injectors fitted and I've picked it up again and ... thankfully its driving fine now.

I've been told that Skoda will cover any Injector, EGR or DPF issues from now on !!

Egr will kick up next, get it replaced and she'll be flying. Not getting it done in the first place was a wise decision.

and i'm kicking myself for forgetting to tell them this time round - normally i just mention it at service times; but this time it went in on the back of a flat bed so I wasn't there to tell them !
