Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why the f*ck would it be ominous unless you're completely up for one side?

    F*ck off, Liam.

    What's the big deal?

    Really?

It's not a public service broadcast by the referendum commission... A person can have a bit of a bias while commentating..

Would you be so bothered by ol blue eyes D'Arcy commentating?

I'd be less concerned with bias and more with the relentless need to keep talking. More often than not, some silence is actually much better for the listening experience.

A bit of bias is an understatement.

    Munster
I'll absolutely take a 7 point lead at half time.

Munster were the better side for the first 25 minutes of that half, but Leinster defended very well and cycles through the gears when required.

So entries to 22 probably slightly edged by Munster, and yet Leinster lead 10-3. ill take that.

I’m not bothered by it anyway. I think he’s pretty poor but I don’t mind his bias

Have to say I think Toland has been a lot more balanced in his commentating tonight. He’s actually giving praise to Dubliners on the pitch for once.

I quite enjoy him losing the head when something goes against Munster. Brian Moore like.

Time to give Casey a chance. What is there to lose

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

There's an air of inevitably to this. Munster's best chance of winning is out wide and it's not the night for that.

Contentious enough try, I'd lean towards it being a fair decision but on another night...!

So frustrating for a Munster supporter. Had a good chunk of possession and territory with nothing to show for it. Same issues in attack. I actually wouldn’t mind hauling Murray early in the2nd half, Leinster’s back 3 have the measure of his box kicks and Casey can speed things up.

Have to think Leinster will win this, probably comfortably enough.

D'Arcy isn't in this league. And he's doesn't have braincells to speak for 40 minutes.

A co-commentator should be impartial and reflective of what takes place on the field.

There's a reason Sky used offer fan commentary as a novelty via their red button feature. A national outlet cannot have a blatantly biased pundit. The Indo tried it with Conor George (and Toland isn't in that bracket but he seems to be determined to get there) and he was moved on.

Toland is becoming a bit of a joke insofar as he offers no realistic analysis.

    Munster insipid first half

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

    Same old story so far.

Munster not scoring enough when on top. Leinster clinical in the redzone.

Munster too one dimensional. One out runners into a box kick. Not playing badly, just very predictable.

Munster strong in the lineout Leinster dominating the scrum.

Those Dubliners are wearing red. Was rambling about conways tackle as earls made a mess of that kick to the point he ignored the knock on

Brian Moore is great value. He is scathing of English players when they're poor. More so than any pundit I know of.

I'm not sure the conditions suit what we've seen from him in patches.

    Munster
Munster were quite decent that half. Haven't seen the stats but I think they had the better of possession and territory, but haven't quite been able to convert. Also won a few pens at the breakdown and won a Leinster lineout ball. If they can manage to get some points from their possession they'll be right in this game.

On the Leinster side, I'm quite frustrated that we haven't been able to keep the ball a bit more. W lot of that is down to Munster's excellent possession skills, but Sexton has kicked a but too much for my liking.

We're best up for a huge second half. Munster will go all out for what is potentially their final 40 minutes if the season. I think they'll get the first score in this half and game is well and truly on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

It’s only a single score. Munster won’t be making any hasty decisions yet. They were pretty comfortable for a lot of that half

    Jesus what a backs move.

If that Ringrose kick stays infield a metre more then Lowe is scoring a try

Was that Toner who popped the pass to keep that move going?

    Sexual.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,222 ✭✭✭crisco10

shame Sexton's pass was off target there. Larmour and Keenan had tons of space in front after all the misdirection.

How many times has Toland interrupted the commentator now? Forcing some shît point he made 4 times previously.
