how far back are Ewans group? Or did they get up to Sams group?

    About 8 minutes back.

There's a decent graphic on the official Tdf site. Click on the various dots to see who's in the group and how far back

I wonder is there any group behind Ewan's group?

Yeah. Sagan got 17 points at the intermediate sprint so he's now 5 points ahead of Sam

More worrying for Sams chances are the points available at the finish:

    50 30 20 18 16 14 12 10 8 7 6 5 4 3 2

If Sagan wins I can't see Sam clawing back 50+points with only 3 sprint stages left.

Edit : Sean Kelly thinks the same!!!

Taken a sneaky punt on Coquard at 7/1 for the win.

Van the man will save us and take the 50.

Jumbo moving up to the front now

Not in any way racing related but the co-commentator John on Eursport is a great addition. Brings the best out of Carlton. Never thought I'd ever be saying that.

Landa and Pogacar in the second split.

    Porte in the third split.

Separate to the racing, that Isadore clothing ad is very funny, not least because there isn’t a single thing in it that hasn’t happened to me :)

The top lads are relentless when they smell blood, eh. 50+ seconds to the second group already.

    Some stage

I'm in no way surprised that Porte and Landa got caught out

How many in the Ewan group? Too many to eliminate?

There's at least 40-50 so I'd say they could stroll in whenever they want and they won't be eliminated.

Big points coming up. Could you see him out of the top 3? Hardly.

Once the spilts happened earlier it’s Sagan all the way, Van’s team have other priorities. Sad for Sam but Sagan deserves this and probably his only chance this year for a stage

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,425 ✭✭✭✭dastardly00

    Coquard could win it

    Van Aert to win it

    Coquard could win it

I’ll buy him a pint if he does

3rd should be okay for Sam. Plenty of intermediate sprints left for Sam to make it up.
