Bergkamp's goal is brilliant, but there's so much more for Maradona to do when he receives the ball - he has to create space, accelerate, control a wildly bouncing ball, beat more players, keep making decisions at pace until the very last second, after running 60 yards and then finish.

Maxi for me. That control and volley is just unreal.

The Saudi goal involved a mis control before the finish which marks it down for me.

Both great goals here, I'll go for Al Owairan though, in 30 or 40 year's time we'll still be watching repeats of that one, I'm not sure the same is the case for the maxi Rodriguez goal.

I missed the last round but would also have voted for Bergkamp.

I'll vote for Maxi there. Can't fault it.

The Saeed Al Owairan is a great individual effort, but the defending really is atrocious and unlike the Maradonna goal he's not in control the whole time. His momentum carries him along and he gets lucky with a random deflection and a miscontrol right at the end - there is a large portion of luck involved in that goal.
