When will they ban those visors? They are highly dangerous. If this virus is airborne, you're not protected by wearing one.

Alot of shops have their staff wearing visors and with increasing cases, things will just get worse.

Thought the idea of masks was not to protect the general public not the induvidual wearer? How is a piece of cloth going to prevent inhalation of an airborne virus. Only a gas mask will protect you from something airborne.

Because all of the people at:-

-Black Lives Matters protests around the country
-Anti-mask nutjob rallies / get togethers in Dublin
-numerous high profile funerals where somehow their loved one was more special or more tragic than anyone else's (Garda funeral, drowned family in Donegal, all v tragic but breaking the rules we all agreed to)
Get together in Clifden and Tullamore

Etc etc

were all wearing the best masks that money could buy.

Oh and because the schools have gone back and are super spreaders no matter what spin they roll out. Anyone connected to teachers sees colds in their families at this time of year, as kids return and mix.

Why do young ones get pregnant accidentally when using contraception or preventatives? Because they get careless and also because accidents happen.

95% of people are wearing them. I heard back in June that there didn't need to be full compliance for them to work. Economy had reopened back in early July about 20% were wearing masks in shops cases were much lower than they are now where 95% of people are masked in shops.

It's not driven by shops - it's schools, house parties, raves, protests, gangs of teenagers meeting up on top of some in bars, restaurants etc.

Again, in case you still do not know it masks are there to stop you giving out virus as you breathe, sneeze or cough. They can not stop virus coming in. In that sense visors are nothing to sneeze at as they are so close to your mouth and nose that even your breath full of viruses will condense on the inside of it and people are safe from you. If you do not believ that then put one on and sneeze to it. The only real danger to anyone in front of you is that you bump in them as you will lose visibility.

Nice one. I guess that you can keep it on and still get some drink through. From the food standpoint, you can forget solid food and even soup will lose appeal when it gets heavy filtered through fabric.
Here I see why you do not like visors as they still allow you with some clever manipulation to drink or eat with one on.

Masks won't stop people having house parties, socialising as normal or acting as if there is no Covid. But the rest of the population should be able to go to work or to the shops without inhaling infected droplets from the people who can't be bothered doing the right thing.

So your basically admitting that they are un nessecary. It wasn't being spread by shops in the first instance this is well known. There was no need for them back in March and April and there's no need for them now.

So says the person who doesn't know the difference between "Never have" and "Never was".

Maybe the people wearing the masks outdoors or in their cars are doing so because they're moving between shops and don't want to be handling their mask for the few minutes in between.

I wasn't giving out about someone removing their mask when eating. I gave a list of possible reasons to why we have an increase in cases. You know being indoors in a restaurant or bar (serving food). You obviously can't eat with a mask on your face and if asymptomatic or presymtomatic eating in a restaurant, well guess what happens?
