Great sportsmanship between Sam & Caleb again.
Really not warming to Sagan this year.

    Great finish

If Sagan gets second ahead of Sam there is literally a mm in it, hopefully that mm won't ultimately prove to be the difference in wearing the green jersey in Paris or not?

Sagan push on van Aert not on imo

I’d like to see a proper side on camera for that finish. Not sure how you’d split Sam and Sagan. Sagan very aggressive in the finish too. Commissaires may take a look at that.

Send Sagan home for that. Sam a shoe in them for the green

Used to be Sagan fan, this year I'm being turned off him...Caleb seems like a nice fella and Sam seems a like proper gent

yeah, the replay looks bad enough. Luckily Van aert big enough to soak it up

overhead shot just there and looked like sam had sagan by a fraction of a milimeter

He deserves a kick in the hole for that.
If Van Aert didnt keep his balance there it could have been disaster crash.

If Sam does what Sagan this I firmly believe people will have said that's part of racing such as when his line changed in an earlier stage.

Now, this is more blatant, but it was probably that or the barrier and a few bodies going with hin

He could be in trouble alright. You could argue that there wasn't enough room to go up Van Aert's inside and the fact that he needed to shoulder him to get by kind of proves that. There's also the question of whether it inhibited Van Aert's sprint. All part and parcel of sprinting, but so is being relegated for making a dangerous move.

Not only did Sagan impede Van Aert ...Sam Bennett had to check when Van Aert move towards him

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,387 ✭✭✭cunavalos

Its arguably a more dangerous manoevre that the one that got him disqualified in 2017 but is the lack of a crash/injury a mitigating factor?

    Thats a little presumptuous!
Not like Sagan doesnt have history either!

    .
We can all recognise good sporstmanship and an elbow out of the way!
