They are, it's just that it's not compatible with your extreme world view of rich people being cartoonishly evil so you reject it.

Back to Covid, you claim lockdowns don't reduce the spread of Covid. It's an airborne virus, it's far more likely to spread among workers in an office, than if those workers are at home, you understand that right?

Or you think it spreads another way? if so, how?

Bill Gates is not cartoonishly evil. He is just plain evil. That’s why he was mates with child sex traffickers and rapists. But probably just another “conspiracy” in your world eh?

And it’s not me claiming lockdowns don’t effect the virus it’s numerous studies showing that they do far more harm than good. For the most obtuse poster on boards, you sure pick a strange sub forum to hang out.

But this is you changing your claim when you realised you couldn't back it up.

Do you agree that lockdowns reduce the spread of the virus?
Previously you argued they could not and that studies showed they could not.

Do you consider Donald Trump to be "just plain evil" it's just I have never seen you say anything negative about him even though he was "mates with child sex traffickers and rapists".

We do not have free market capitalism and we haven’t had it for 50 years. We have crony capitalism where quasi monopolies dominate and act to crush or subsume all competition with the support of government. The main area they do this is the financial system administered by the central banks. Once you control that you control everything else. A good place to start would be the book Fed Up by Danielle M Boothe.

Since the establishment of the Fed in 1913 but in particular since the end of Bretton Woods in 1971, free market capitalism has been in terminal decline with the west losing its manufacturing base to mostly centrally planned economies in the east. The middle class has shrunk and become indebted and the gap between them and the elite has grown ever wider. There have been over 20 financial crises since 1971 and each one ends with the elite further enriching themselves at the expense of the ordinary worker. This is called the Cantillon Effect after the famous 18th century economist. Read Goliath: The 100-Year War Between Monopoly Power and Democracy by Matt Stoller.

The pandemic has extended most governments overreach into every area of public and private existence. What happens when governments assume that all human problems can be solved by simply finding the right policy settings? That is the socialist nightmare that Hayek feared.

Very interesting post. I'll try to get my hands on that book. Thanks for the recommendation.

What do you think of this guy's hypothesis:

"I do think that Covid is a real disease and a quite nasty one at that, since I have several friends that are doctors, including one that worked at a special Covid hospital and I know what they have seen. Having said that, there is a huge amount of stuff that doesn't make sense about this entire last year. It looks like the 'powers that be' are essentially pulling the plug on the economy. Why would they do this? The most obvious reason might be to forestall an impending explosion in the casino financial markets. Probably the best explanation I have seen says it is a result of the very worrying meltdown in the so-called 'repo' market in 2019, which forced the Federal Reserve to wade in with massive cash injections of up to several hundred BILLION PER DAY! This repo crisis was in late 2019, and just a couple of months later we have Covid and the lockdown of the economy. The strategy is to cut off demand for credit...ie to get consumers and businesses to not borrow! And this has to be GLOBAL, since the entire financial Ponzi Scheme is a global octopus. underlying all of this is the need to keep interest rates from rising, which would blow up the whole system! Probably the best explanation I have seen is from a very astute Italian financial commentator, Andrea Cecchi. A couple of weeks ago he published the article 'The Right Virus At The Right Time' on his website. A simple search will find it. His prognosis is that we will NEVER GO BACK TO NORMAL!"

He posted it as a comment on an article I'm just after reading.

"Evil" according to conspiracy theorists. In reality he met with Epstein about 3 times, for funding, for his philanthropy. Something he later admitted was a mistake. It's tenuous guilt by association.

As for your bizarre views on the economy, what's "evil" about central banks?

Back to the topic, you don't argue that the virus isn't airborne, you don't argue that it doesn't spread when people are in close contact, yet you argue that measures to reduce contact between people don't work - how does that make any sense?

Here's a good thread on your idol Bill Gates:

I'm still interested in hearing how someone can simultaneously give all their money away, double it and make themselves the largest owner of farmland in the USA
That is actually a very good thread, imo.

I would like to hear a salient refutation of the information in it by those who find it inadequate. As somebody who does not trust the man one iota, it interests me to know what the obsession is with leaping to his defence when he's clearly reprehensible.

Probably that Netflix documentary propaganda piece a few years ago that painted him as some sort of genius deity.

A detailed and sourced documentary featuring many interviews from a credible source is "propaganda", but a literal geo-cities style conspiracy blog from some random lunatic on the internet is "very good".

Very telling how that is a really common theme on this forum, from the "Satan is coming" types, to the truthers, to the doomsday merchants and so on. Almost as if people with extreme beliefs have zero interest in the veracity of information, only whether or not it supports their beliefs.

So can you give me a couple of facts that you actually 'know' about Bill Gates,
and not stuff you just repeat from posters on other fringe sites, who themselves are just
repeating stuff they haven't actually bothered to research either?

The stuff on that thread you link to is hardly credible, is it?

    You say "he's clearly reprehensible".
If you are so confident then pop a couple of concrete facts you know about Bill Gates up here, and I'll happily check them for you!
However please don't just dump a link to some web site, or other thread!

Also, can you refute that Bill G seems to have given something like 50 billion (that's 50,000 million) to various causes,
and likely has improved the lives of at least 10's, but probably 100's, of millions of real people.

so now that it's certain that they will be introduction the vaccing passport for Ireland, are we going to end up with unvaccinated people being discriminated against with freedoms taken away until they accept the vaccine.

The majority of people aggree with this of course. But this feels all wrong to me.

You're asking this question as if it's a statement.
You're asking it as if conspiracy theorists have completely failed to defend any of their claims on this thread.
You're asking it as if you guys haven't lied and dodged and ignored to pretend you know something other people don't.

So no, we are not going to end up with unvaccinated people being discriminated against.

When this doesn't happen, will you accept that your conspiracy beliefs were incorrect?

It's already happening with the vaccine certificate/passport rollout accross western countries.

    What's already happening?
Discrimination against people without the vaccine to force them to take the vaccine?
    If so, please provide examples.
And then please show how these examples will be permanent.
And then please explain what is the true goal of those behind this plot.

Or better yet, could you explain why we should ignore the abject dishonesty, ignorance and evasiveness we've seen from you conspiracy theorists in this thread?

Just coming out with vague, shallow nonsense like "It's already happening" is only making it look like you don't actually know what you're talking about and you don't have any special knowledge or insight.

Certain countries may require vaccine passports to travel, that's an attempt by various countries to revive the stricken tourism industry.

You interpret that as something else completely.

Your correct I interprete it as bringing a renamed China social credit system on western society which will be used for more then just travelling as you point out above.

Freedom to be given as long as you submit to control through the vaccine passport / certificate system which ultimatily maybe administered by China.

LOL. You just admitted to making up crap via your interpretation.

Btw, vaccines are already required for many countries to protect their population. Do you think governments should let their populations be ravaged by infectious diseases? Or are you special and immune to everything and so you shouldn’t need vaccinations to visit those countries?

I believe that people should be free to decide whether or not to take a vaccine and they shouldn't be discriminated against for not doing so.

People should not be treated like lepers until they prove otherwise.

So countries that insist on vaccines for such things as yellow fever before granting entry discriminate?
