Assuming you aren't taking the mick out of conspiracy theorists, it's not a conspiracy theory (I literally have to spell this stuff out because so many on this forum have a problem with basic wording and logic)

If variant is bad, we might have a bad situation. If variant is not bad (like Beta and Gamma) then not so much. No conspiracy theory is a part of any of that equation.

The basics of Western civilisation were laid down long before Christianity by classical Greece and the Roman Empire and the spread of Christianity from the Western world was by steel, gunpowder and tyranny fully endorsed by Christianity.

Neither was Christianity the driving force behind science. When science diverged in any form from Christian teaching it was ruthlessly dealt with, even as late as the 16th century with the Holy Inquisition where scientist such as Giordano Bruno, a Dominican friar, was burned at the stake for not recanting their beliefs, and Galileo now widely recognised as the father of modern physics was forced to recant or suffer the same fate and spent the rest of his life under house arrest.

Perhaps it would be a better means of spending your time reading a bit of history, rather than trolling the internet for morons and posting their incoherent ramblings

You really need to start watching main stream media a bit, as you seem to have really gone down the conspiracy rabbit hole and are losing perspective of what is real.

Do you ever listen to morning Ireland on RTE, when they regularly interview people at the coal face of this pandemic? If you do listen to it, do you think that the people interviewed are actors, and not doctors and nurses, etc., and that what they say is not real?

Do you think that paranoid individuals on Bitchute and Facebook are a more reliable news source than professional journalists in the normal media? Do you think most of us are dim and that journalists would get away putting out false information on a consistent basis? It is the unaccountable people that you listen to that seem to get away with putting out falsehoods and nonsense, where evidence is not an issue, and the word 'could' is liberally used to reach conclusions, and their audience is completely non-critical (effectively sheeple!!!)

For people with extreme beliefs it boils down to a very simple equation: Does this piece of information or person validate my personal beliefs? If the answer is yes, then it's the "truth". If however the answer is no, then it's discarded or attacked as false.

Watching the news, or listening to journalists, or turning on a radio chat show produces a lot of information that contradicts these extreme beliefs, so they are avoided, or attacked ("mainstream media is all lies, etc")

It's eye opening how uninformed some of these people are, and what they believe. It's one thing to be sceptical, with good reason, of lots of things in the world around us, where there are plenty of real conspiracies and conmen. However some people then seem to go well beyond healthy scepticism, and start to believe delusional people on the internet who put out complete fantasy.

People that have bought into the conspiracy narrative have already formed their own polarised conclusion and not much is going to change that opinion - that it is some nefarious underworld ("they") controlling us for their own benefit. Everybody is complicit in this hoax according to them- nurses, doctors, scientists and anyone that's trying their damnest to end this. Anything that goes against this narrative is simply dismisssed as MSM propaganda, people that belief covid is real and that vaccines are the only route out of this are branded sheep, the very science is rejecteted as "scientism".

Christianity is the complete antithesis of science. It is literally full to the brim of anti-scientific methodology and teachings. They used to torture and burn scientists for speaking the truth. The Bible contradicts itself almost every second page.

Hypocrisy has no place in science. Yes, sometimes new information means that old ways of thinking have to be reassessed, but that's part of the entire process. When's the last time you saw the church change their opinion on literally anything?

During the Spanish flu of 1918-1920 there were many variants formed. In fact the Spanish flu is still around in some forms today.

However were are not in a permanent lockdown since 1918 are we?? We were able to deal with it eventually and normal life resumed within 5 years

With technology advancements we are able to tackle this covid pandemic quicker and more effectively than we could 100 years ago.
