    Hi

My inlaws have an old joint account and there is a small amount of money in it.
Is there a requirement to have both of them together to sign out a withdrawal?

    Thanks

    Hi Mcgragger,

Thanks for reaching out to us here today on Boards.ie.

This can depend on how long it has been since the account has been used. Can we ask would this account be used regularly, or registered for 365online.com?

    Thanks,
    Richard

Probably hasnt been used in a very long time. They Mother in Law gets statements to the house every so often. So its old and certainly not online.

The problem is they are divorced and unlikely to be in the same room again together!

    Cheers

Thanks for getting back to us Mcgragger,

In this case, the account is likely still open and active. If your Mother in Law popped into her local branch with photo ID, one of our colleagues will be happy to help make a withdrawal.

    We hope this helps.

    Many thanks,
    Richard
