In relation all the change that is going on in the world right now and the role of bodies like the WEF: a) we should never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity (Hanlon's Razor), and b) we should never attribute to virtue that which is adequately explained by opportunism (MeepMeep2021's Razor 😄)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,249 ✭✭✭✭King Mob

And same here. More spam that no one is listening to.

You and your buddies spent half of this thread claiming that the WEF's evil plan was facial recognition.

Now because you've found something new on twitter (Or more likely your favourite conspiracy monger told you) you've abbandoned your previous conspiracy theory that you were holding as biblical truth.

You are very very easily manipulated.

You should start asking the questions we keep asking you. It's called critical thinking. It makes you less easily manipulated by con artists.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,160 ✭✭✭✭Dohnjoe

And off you go again. It's obvious your only interest is in a paranoid fantasy view of the world.

Emotion-scanning, face-scanning, gait scanning, 'intention' scanning.. these technologies are on the way and we should have a discussion about the ethics, social consequences and power dynamics of deploying them. There are people within the WEF framework doing this on a daily basis however, so some of the ire aimed at the WEF is totally misplaced and amounts to shooting the messenger. You have to keep people ethical and on their toes, especially those with power, but you also have to separate out those that endorse these developments unequivocally (and why) and those that question them (and why). The WEF has both.

Fantasy view of the world you say. It's the WEF's own Twitter page. They made the video.

The problem with that is how much you have to put down to coincidence and are forced to disregard.

What do you make of this article: Conspiracy theories aside, there is something fishy about the Great Reset | openDemocracy

Yet, as you've shown throughout this thread, you are utterly incapable of explaining what that fishy thing is. You've constantly had to lie and be completely dishonest and cowardly.

If there's something fishy, why do you have do be so completely devoid of integrity? Why aren't you able to explain what the fishy thing is rationally and without relying on conspiracy grifters and cranks?

Why do you have to behave like what you're claiming isn't true?

    Why ignore all these points?

Why do you not ask them yourself?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,160 ✭✭✭✭Dohnjoe

You aren't interpreting this information like a normal rational person. You are highly paranoid that the "powers-that-be" are always up to something nefarious (and vague), you can't explain it properly, you can't detail it, you can't answer questions about it - but you view the world through that paranoid prism, always interpreting whatever story as another hint of some cartoonishly evil super-plan.

Oh noes. The WEF are promoting villages for people with Alzheimer's where they can live as normal a life as possible while being cared for: https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/10/french-alzheimers-village-nursing-home-dementia-care?

This is the start of it! #Agenda2020

Do you think it's normal for the WEF and Klaus Schwab to view the deaths of millions of people as an 'opportunity' to roll out what he calls 'radical changes'?

In the following article Rachel Cunliffe talks about that video that WEF put out: https://www.newstatesman.com/business/work/2021/08/davos-man-s-vision-post-covid-19-world-makes-my-skin-crawl

The video describes what life will look like post-covid. It's a world full of masks, where children sit in front of a screen all day instead of going to school and making friends, where everything you need is within 15 minutes of where you live. Is that a world you would like to live in?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,249 ✭✭✭✭King Mob

OK. So answer the questions you keep dodging.

Don't dump a link to some cranks opinion. Explain things yourself using your own opinion and words. Stop acting like a spam bot.

Returning to these thread to spam another link after running away and answering nothing makes you look very desperate.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,160 ✭✭✭✭Dohnjoe

The WEF are not rolling out changes, they are just a forum.

We are already living in a "post-Covid" world, more people are working from home, that's pretty much it. Lunatics and scaremongers and fearmongers take information, twist it to scare people like you, to get clicks from people like you. They know you will unquestioningly accept it and plaster it all over internet forums that other gullible people will parrot. Take a look at any thread from this forum from the last 13 years, exactly the same nonsense, different packaging.

Gonna have to rename this "theory" as The Great Damp Squib

    :D

You often give out about people not answering questions, but you didn't answer my question about whether it is normal for a person to see millions of deaths as an 'opportunity'.

Klaus Schwab: "Radical changes of such consequence are coming that some pundits have referred to a “before coronavirus” (BC) and “after coronavirus” (AC) era."

That's from the founder of the World Economic Forum.

The problem is that we don't know what he means by radical changes. We'll have to wait until next May when the Great Reset will take place.

That's quite a twist. He didn't say that he saw the death of millions of people as an opportunity.

He sees the pandemic as an opportunity would be more accurate so. Although I'm not sure what the difference is between the two as the pandemic is deaths of millions of people.

"The video describes what life will look like post-covid."

That's a lie, it says it's what the world could look like in the future.

There used to be a program back in the day (70's/80's) that showed potential technology and how the world "could" look in the future (now).

Most of what they envisaged never cane to fruition (flying cars for everyone?) And some did (laptops/mobile phones)

Just because someone says "hey this is what the future could look like in the future" doesn't mean that the future will look anything like the video they post.

Perfect opportunity to invest in the care of Alzheimer's patients and build nice villages that the WEF promote. The Great Reset sounds amazing!

The outworkings of the management of the pandemic *is* an opportunity. The death of millions of people is not. You're spinning the narrative to make it sound scary. You asked earlier if anyone would want to live in a world where everything they need is within 15 minutes of where they live...sounds very convenient to me. Why do you think it's a bad thing?

You constantly dodge questions and points and posts you can't answer or address. Demanding dohnjoe answer yours after leaving so many hanging afftrer the last time you ran away is the height of hypocrisy.

We've asked you repeatedly to explain what your conspiracy theory here is.

You still haven't answered and you still keep ignoring the question.

You now are also changing your claims, as previously you were claiming a great many things about what the Great Reset was, including that it would involve the removal of ownership.

You are now saying that you don't know what it is.

You also are saying that you don't know what he means. Yet he was written a book about the subject. You previously claimed to be in the process of reading this book. Are you now giving up this lie?

Watch how you'll dodge these points and questions after just accusing others of doing so.

Okay, but is it not distasteful to be talking about an event that has resulted in millions of deaths in terms of a 'window of opportunity'?

People mightn't want to live where everything is 15 minutes away. People like traveling, going for drives etc. And notice how in that video people are still in masks including a lady who answers the door wearing a mask.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,249 ✭✭✭✭King Mob

Wait, are you now accepting that covid has killed millions of people?

I thought the conspiracy theory was that it hadn't.

If you think it's distasteful to talk about millions of deaths being an opportunity, why do you have no issue using those millions of deaths to spread misinformation? Why have you no issue with the conspiracy cranks you've linked to making **** loads of money from the fear around those millions of deaths and have even denied those millions of deaths happened.

Your current complaints of "Distatefullness" are again silly hypocritical deflection from the points you cannot and will not answer.

An eyesore of a building falls due to an earthquake in which people die and they take the opportunity to rebuild a beautiful building in it's place (build back better, if you like)...is that distasteful? No.

If people live within fifteen minutes of everything they need, how is that an impediment to travelling or going for a drive?!

    Em…eh…eh…the great reset.

I think they is the answer.

In fairness, Little Bo Peep is a bit sinister.

There are no radical changes. Paranoid people, impervious to basic logic/reason, are playing to their paranoid fantasies by reading into stuff that isn't there

Many posts back you asked for an explanation of why some batshiat blogger was talking nonsense and how whatever it is she was blathering about really worked. I took the time to explain it to you. You ignored it (as I knew you would) and moved onto the next insane nonsense thing to latch onto (as I knew you would)

The "Great Reset" and the WEF have been explained to you countless times on this forum, you aren't interested in facts/reason, you are only interest in your paranoid fantasies being validated. Once nothing comes of this, you'll get bored, create a new account and cling to whatever conspiracy trope comes along next year.
