Seems like a good deal. Better than GoMo which I have for 10e a month. You can order a SIM and try it out before you commit. https://goosed.ie/48-offer-whats-the-catch/

The main difference is 3 has unlimited data and 48 has 100GB. 48 also has 10k mins where 3 has just 60.

Unless you're using 3 SIM as a broadband alternative for streaming then 48 is a better all round deal with the calls. Even 2 48 SIMs for 16e would give 200GB and 4e saved versus 3. Also 48 is a monthly plan where 3 is 28 day plan.

I am tempted to change to 48 myself. My concern is if I have a problem down the line, there is only online customer service......

can you get top ups in payzone outlet shops?.
and can you get a 8 euro voucher or can you only get a 10 euro voucher?.

I think it's been mentioned on another thread that it's online top up only.

They done away with payzone top up a while back. You need to buy it online via the website or app. You can set it up to auto renew your membership too so it saves you having to remember each month.

Got a sim other day to test out just using the PAYG for now. Hot Spot disabled on mobile / iPhone by 48 Network provider. Not any issue for me but maybe for some. Not sure if there are any other gotchas!

:also might just ask, Did anyone port number to 48 and have any issues doing so?

That would've a BIG MINUS for me if I couldn't use it as a hotspot. With GoMo there is no problem using it as a hotspot.

It's more of an IPhone issue than 48, no problem tethering on android.

For iPhone it requires updating hotspot APN...
