Speaking of derbies, that was a big equaliser from Benzema. If Atletico had won that, I think Madrid were done. Madrid don't look capable of anything special unless he's involved.

Its amazing how often this happens, across the main leagues.

Off hand in very recent times I can think of Juve and Bayern doing it, and I'm sure theres far more without much looking.

The mainstays fall way behind and don't exactly go on a Man City type winning streak and still find a way back to the top.

Barca and Real are literally at their lowest ebb in years, and still A.Madrid still look like they're going to blow it despite having a big lead.
Its still in their hands but the writing is on the wall now.

He didn't make Deschamp's recent squad, so a place at the Euros is looking a long shot. I think he's unfortunate as he offers some flair that could be useful to them as an impact sub.

Huge concern against an inexperienced CB line alright. It'll all come down to whether Fabinho/Gini/Thiago/TAA/Robbo can cut off the supply to him really. Starve him of possession in dangerous areas and force him come deep. Much easier said than done though - definitely a massive threat.

Messi has been quietly having a great season. If most players were hitting these numbers it would be big news, but we're normalised to his brilliance so it gets taken for granted.

Suarez, Benzema and Messi have been having huge campaigns. It's a shame two of them will miss out on a title.

Called him "negro de mierda". The Valencia players then had to come out and play as La Liga said they would be deducted points if they didn't. The only time a game has been cancelled of late was when a Ukranian player for albacete who has connections to the far right was getting chants from the stand in Vallecas where Vallecano play. They cancelled the match and played at a later date but for racism its play on lads.

La Liga will pay for that. They'll come under immense criticism, and deservedly so, but they'll weasel out of it by severely punishing the player.
What would be great is if all the top players came out criticizing la liga for it.

Real were well on top. Barca defence couldn't handle Vinicious at all. Possession stats count for nothing really.
