Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have Valladolid a realistic chance of staying up? They're 1/500 to go down with Bet365

They haven't won a league game since the first week of March, so it's tough to see them beating an Atletico team fighting for the title. Even if they pull off a victory, they'd still need other results to go their way. It's hard to see it happening.

Atleti have been playing fairly industrial football since Simeone came in;)
For me, they are a hard watch, and its obvious that many folk who used to cheer them on as underdogs in La Liga, have since given up after watching them in Europe.

But if you don't want Real or Barca to win the league, I suppose its a good day.

It's the only way a team with limited means can compete. Their grinding game takes a far bigger effort week in week out than how Barca and Real play. Hard to do it for a full season. We take for granted that they compete for the title year in year out now, but it's a huge achievement they are competitive every year. The whole far better than the sum of the parts.

If Simeone left they regress hugely I'd think

    Ehh what?

    80m this season
    220m 19/20
    170m 18/19

Probably spent more than Real/Barca in that time frame.

They built up a bit of money from the success they had, playing a grinding game due to being a team of limited means compared to Real and Barca. You really think they can compete on that level? Just look at the TV money breakdown in Spain

    Quality finish by Suarez.

Barcelona must be rueing the day they sold him.

Anyone else watching this on La Liga TV? It's fun that they are flicking from game to game depending on the scenarios. Very exciting finish!

Incredible feeling. Atleti fans have to suffer to win anything, makes victory all the best.

    AUPA ATLETI!

10 of their 11 league titles were won on the last day. That's mental haha.

As much as I dislike Suarez, it's nice to see Barcelona's financial mismanagement directly lead to them handing a title rival the missing piece that has led to them winning the league.

I dont think it was primarily based on financial mismanagement as to why Suarez was sold.
Suarez was seen as a keen ally of Messi in the dressing room and Bartomeu wanted to weaken Messi's influence at the club.
It was more of a political move than a financial one.

The Spanish National team has been announced for the Euros and there isnt one Real Madrid player in the 24 man squad.
Only 3 Barcelona players, Busquets, Alba, and Pedri.(How Busquets is still playing International football is baffling, his legs went years ago).
The biggest notable omission is Sergio Ramos.

Possibly, although I'm not sure if he'd be a good fit there. Maybe Zidane heading to Juve?

It seems Ancelotti could be going back to Real Madrid.

I think that's a good appointment by Perez but they need players. Barca look likely to have a decent summer window despite their economic problems. Aguero, Garcia, Depay and Wijnaldum would be good business if they manage it.
