Lotto Soudal have the final 4 places now so if they can’t get Ewan under the limit tomorrow De Gendt will be on his own :)

De Gendt would probably prefer that :D

I know but always hope for some excitement, a real attack not the little joke attack from Cofidis today. I wish the DSs and leaders would grow a pair and say ‘all or nothing , podium or blowup and lose 20mins’. For example I’d say nobody, including Pierre, gives a sh&t that Pierre Roland once finished 8th.
Jumbo are so strong it might be impossible anyway!

One team who'd probably try if they can away with it would be.
mitchelton Scott with Chaves or Yates. To many team leaders happy to sit in and take 5th-10th. Porte, landa, Quintana been prime examples

The next 2 stages dont suit Sagan but Bora are going to drill stage 19 that has a lots of climbing though no hard climbs ...

The danger here is CCC (and Trentin) are fully in the mix so Bora have willing allies here and big engines to assist them

Trentin is a better climber than Sagan in my book

Stage 18 and stage 19 are possible hunting grounds for CCC

Just watched the evening highlights on ES. They just showed the last 18km. Usually they have a presenter (don’t know her name) and snips of the early action in the stage. None of that tonight. Maybe she is a close contact or our government.
