Mørkøv is a beast! Perfectly played again by him and the team.

And Morkov steals a point from Sagan again.

    Well played.

So the break is set now (including Dan Martin) and the peloton will roll on now until they reach the mountains

All the sprinters will crawl home together

Textbook. Hung in there to steal points from Sagan as well.

Can’t see Dan Martin staying with that group until the end TBH, at least his form doesn’t indicate it to be possible, but maybe he will surprise me.

How are Sagan and Trentin allowing that to happen every time? Are they just not expecting to beat Bennett and not bothering?

i dont think there was any hanging in at all - knew exactly what he was doing and where he was. excellent stuff from DQS who really are working towards the green jersey now

Markov is 8th in the points standing and they’re all basically just from leading Sam out at the intermediate sprints. His highest finish has been 11th

I am sorry but Kamna in yet another breakaway is bordering on unbelievable for me

Losing 2 or 3 points is not a major change.....ideally they need to gain 20-30 points before Sunday and then try and beat Sam in the final Sprint

Agreed, Sagan and Bora must be targeting a big win soon (Stage 19 perhaps) and go for it on the final day. Bora would know Sam's strengths and weaknesses well. Hopefully Sam and DQS are too strong for Sagan and Bora to get back in this.

To be fair it's the same every year. Some lads come into the Tour perfect and end up in every break. Hirschi was the same in the first 2 weeks. Kamna was quiet early on. Saving his legs for this week. he was tipped to win the stage by several yesterday so he's defo not an unknown

Junior World TT Champion, European U23 TT Champion, Podium in U23 Road Race, and Top 10 in this years Dauphine (plus a stage)?

It's professional sport, so there's always the potential, but really he's not a donkey to race horse.

    Even wiggins breathing is annoying.

    There goes Kamna.
Dan is doing well but it’s between Alaphilippe and Carapaz for me IF they can stay away.

Dan has such a distinctive climbing style. You could spot him a mile away.
