So my Eircode when looked up brings back my address but leaves out the Parish and town.
No problem most of the time.
But I tried to sign up to a few things online where you cant enter your address, just your eircode. This is getting more common now.
When you put in your eircode it takes the address from the database and you cannot correct it.

I emailed eircode and they said nothing to do with them. Try the post office.
The post office have said nothing to do with us.

Anyone know what steps I have to take to get my postal address correct against my Eircode.

    Thanks

It says this on the website

"Eircode cannot change the postal address information available on the Eircode Finder unless instructed to do so by An Post GeoDirectory. If your address in the Eircode Finder is incorrect, it is recommended that you carry on using the address you normally use and simply add the Eircode."

Maybe try contact AnPost GeoDirectory if you haven't already and ask them to update the address.

If It's a one-off thing, you could use the EirCode of your direct neighbour. The last 4 characters may be distinctly different - it's not a matter of "Just add 1". You can find it here: https://finder.eircode.ie/#/

It's exactly as above. You need to get your address updated via An Post Geodirectory, and the Eircode database will be automatically updated on the next update.
It's not a quick process. It took a few months for ours to be updated.
