Young kids use them in school. And carpenters have those elliptical ones that don't roll away, but they'd sharpen them with a Stanley knife.

I usually have a couple of pencils around the place, yes. One goes behind the ear before commencing Bitsa Jobs.

Certainly a topper with us.
If we ever had a teacher that started on about a pencil sharpener. You’d know she was from a city or she had notions about herself.
We had one teacher who use always start talking about here sharpener/eraser but she also called play school Kindergarten.
