Hi - have a Mac mini connected to my TV - used it for YouTube / Netflix etc although recently got a smart tv which I can use aswell.

The only thing I’d have to use it for recently is playing movies I’ve purchased on iTunes, Apple Music and playing DVD’s on an external drive.

Anyway yesterday it just kept restarting like it’s loading an update but then screen goes blank before it’s finished then it restarts again. I left it off for 24 hours but it’s still the same.

Is it dead? I inherited it from my ex so not too bothered about it but I would like to be able to play my Apple content.... do I need an Apple TV box to do this? I’ve an LG smart tv but it’s pretty basic - I can’t broadcast iTunes content to the tv from my iphone.

In before everyone suggests getting a Roku Express (EUR30) or Roku Steaming Stick (EUR50). Tiny devices that support Apple TV as well as all the others (Netflix, Prime, Disney+, etc...) + a ton more great features and a really nice UI.
