Yeah I did Khedira. Definitely worth it, he’s a beast at CDM - breaks up every opposition attack.

I did and I like him but he's not for everyone. I only use him from the bench right now for fresh legs. Great defending and passing, he is a real unit too but obviously because of his size he isn't the best dribbler.

I would say he is worth doing to use as a CDM for the cost and a German with links to Juventus is something a bit unique that might not come up again later.

Just did him. Not a great fit with the current team but the link to Ronaldo is good to have.

folks any tips for a fifa new comer, i last played pes properly about 15 years ago! i now have a shiney series x and fifa 21 and im getting spanked online! i can do okay against cpu at world class level but i win some and lose some.

what formation should i be using?

ive watched some youtube vids on ultimate team and am trying to do all the objectives so will see how i go building a decent team.

This guy is good, particularly for defending tips. Learning to defend and then learning a few skill moves to get past defenders are the fundamentals.

Defending is the hard part imo - you need defenders with pace. 4231 narrow is a good basic formation but see what works for you.

Frisbee

Doing the Bellerin objectives. 1-1 against a guy around 35 mins. I get a peno and he pulls his connection before I can take it so match ends a draw and I don't get the win. Petty beyond belief.

Next game I get matched against the exact same guy. He goes 3-0 up, full celebrations etc. I get it back to 3-3 in the 88th minute.... Quit game and leave him with a draw. :pac:

I probably could have pushed for a win but couldn't resist.

They do really need to do something about people quitting now the Objectives are in friendly. Just seems that if someone is ahead and you pull level the default move is to quit as it doesn't punish them to do so. Really should be if the match is level and someone quits the other team gets the win.

It probably won’t eliminate people quitting completely but might help if they removed the win requirement and have more say just completing x amount of games, might make people stay in the game just to get the complete although people will probably just arse around until the end

Bought rttf renato sanchez sunday and all i can say is wow.

The little guy is like kante on steriods that can score goals too. Interceptions all over pitch i love him.

its why you see so many people or youre saying to yourself why in the fck is mendy in my opponents box again so i think a low/high full back would fix that im just not sure there are any with those work rates usable in the game.

that's why a lot of people set the LB/RB to stay back and overlap. So there's always someone out there.

but they are never where you want them to be i think it just boils down to instructions are pointless really because the work rates will over ride them too much, even if youre using ramos you'll notice him just blazing up the middle of the pitch at times during a game when you've not triggered it because of his high attacking work rates. and overall too many things kind of overlap each other when it comes to tactics/instructions/work rates.

I'm trying to jockey the attacker with the full backs. They always just get past and square the ball for an easy tap in.

I've a horrible habit of clicking the make a run when facing my defence and one of my CBs will make a run forward

I packed Koulibaly untradeable from the 81+ double upgrade pack. I have his RTTF card and it’s price has risen steadily over the last couple of days. Should I sell now ? I’m afraid the prices might crash with Black Friday, or will he be okay cuz he’s a rttf ?

napoli should get through that group, id wait until his upgrade to sell tbh no way would i be selling now, would be horrible if they didnt get out of the group though

EDIT: plus he's not in packs anymore so black friday shouldnt affect the card's price too much when there will be no supply of him coming to drop his price.

SBC for a Base Icon pack is out, non-repeatable and about 460k from scratch.

Pretty frustrating that we're waiting on more SBCs for specific Icons and instead they're just giving us these gamble packs.

And it's not like you have an equal chance of packing each Icon either, the pack weight is determined by price so you're far more likely to pack a Laudrup than a Puskas.

Ironically, I'd have done one if they hadn't just released the specific Icon SBC. I've put most of my fodder into VDS. It's not that he's amazing, but at least I know exactly who I'm getting so can say "Yes, I'm happy with that value".

500k for a random one? Nah. Even with loads of fodder, it's too much.

Apparently 33/100 are worth more than the sbc price. Should roll the dice even just for the fun of it. It's only a game at the end of the day

Actually seeing a lot of good pulls from it rather than the usual ****e.... very tempting. Don’t have enough in my club for it so I’ll be spending at least 150k. I’ll see how both MM are + rivals rewards and a couple 81+ double upgrades.

Playing a friendly for the Bellerin objective - one vs one...... message pops up that my opponent has forfeited the match due to an insufficient number of players. Pretty random, he definitely didn't quit as he was on the attack and winning.

Decided to ignore the Icon SBC for now and actually play some games tonight.

Finally got CR7 into my team and was excited to test him out.

I tried my 4222 for the first 2 games tonight, lost the first one badly and stole a win in the 2nd, but felt like I was playing with 50 rated bronze players. Switched back to my alternative 4-2-3-1 and won 7 out of 8 games, every pass just seemed easier and I could play through my opponents high aggression style without issue.

Not sure how I feel about CR7, even on 10 Chem he didn't feel quite as good as 7 Chem RTTF Rashford. I felt like the goals I got with him weren't really down to me doing something particularly well, but rather it felt like I was getting a bigger slice of luck.


My last game of the night was a great even game, felt like we were a really good match for each other. It was going to be a matter of a lucky break or a mistake. I finally managed to create the opening and slip CR7 in 1-1 with the keeper. I'm thinking to myself this is a really good test of both my nerve and if CR7 is the real difference maker. As I am lining up the angle to shoot, the opponent tries to bring out the keeper. What happens .... the keeper does that stupid shuffle sideways away from goal and leaves me to tap into an empty net. Never felt so guilty to win a game. Its a joke, how has that bug not been patched, I am certain it was even in last years version too.

Figured I'd just save myself 300k and buy the player I'd end up packing anyway



(The cheapest Base Icons have dropped like 80k since the SBC and I suspect they'll rebound soon enough)

I bought the 5 cheapest earlier in the week as I had about 1.2 mill doing nothing.
I'm actually using Pires baby card in midfield...he's not bad at all surprisingly.
I reckon we won't see an icon requirement for a prime icon sbc until December and hopefully these boys hit 600k or so then for the higher tier SBCs.

I don't think so as I have encountered this bug before happening to me on a number of occasions when pressing nothing but Y to rush out the goalkeeper. When you stop pressing Y or double tap then he will stop, but by then the damage is already done.

It seems like maybe the goalkeeper is reacting as if you have pressed R3 when you never did and is extremely frustrating when it happens.

EA really didn't want anyone making money off investments with those Icon SBCs. Unrepeatable & terrible packs back. Have loads of 87-89 players I'd bought ages ago and none of them shifted even a good bit below Max price.

its 3 leagues, 3 nationalities, 3 players, LF ST RF

so i went and bought some bronze dross to do it and the chemistry isnt high enough, needs to be 12 but i only get 10.

But how do i get better chemistry if the players are different nationalities in different leagues?

That link should explain it. What I do is go into the featured squad battles game and kick off. Wait til the match timer goes past 1 minute and then pause the game. Press the PS button on your controller and go into settings and untick the box that says connect to the internet then tick it again. When you go back into the squad battles match you will get an error message saying you’ve been kicked out of ultimate team and returned to the fifa home menu. After this, check how many games one of those bronze players has played for your club and it should have increased by 1. Rinse and repeat until it reaches 10. Check the sbc requirements in Futbin before you do that sbc because it’s not as straightforward as you think and you might need specific players.

I'm really loving my team, I've been using them all so long now that everything just flows so well, never thought I'd be using an 80 Pace Wingback but Trent's passing is just stupid good. VVD is a joke too, as seen in this clip I've just been spamming slide tackles with him and he wins them every time.

I think in the sbc before that one you get position modifiers as a reward and you're supposed to use them on a LM/RM in your club that you packed (so they have loyalty already otherwise you have to play 10 matches with them)
