Have to say I called Mane silly for going for that in the box but he has some control of his body to be able to pull out of it!

Thankfully it was a quick review at the monitor but why did Var even ask the ref to check it himself? It was clear as day.

The ref watched a slow motion replay of Conor Coady diving, acknowledged it as a dive, and overturned his decision BECAUSE IT WAS A DIVE........but then didn't book Coady. All this says is that the players have free reign to keep chancing their arm, because there are no consequences anyway.

It’s easy for them because they usually have VAR on their side. I’m flabbergasted that we actually got a call for us this time. Never usually happens

No. For me the VAR assistant looks at that in 2 replays and sees there is no contact and tells the ref and a free out given and everything is wrapped up in 20 seconds.

Instead you had a farce for 3/4 minutes. Getting the ref over to the monitor when it is bloody clear there was no contact. What is the point of the VAR assistant then?

Coady probably gambled on Mané following through and went over expecting a bit more contact, an obvious dive in the replays that should have been a yellow.....dont blame him for trying it in fairness, almost worked. In normal speed looked a peno.
