Big Oil

It's been years since I had Oil or Gas in my portfolio. I've started over the last few weeks adding a some of these Big Oil companies. Two company buys so far over the last few weeks. Exxon Mobil Corporation XOM $36.50 -- 75% of my holding Royal Dutch Shell plc RDSB £972 -- 25% I looked at Tullow but it seems too risky…

It has to be remembered though that oil has been a horrible investment for the last decade. The Starr of 2020 when the oil price briefly went negative was particularly bad.
All the investment commentary was all extremely negative on oil because everyone was investing in "Big tech" and crypto. Then you had the stupidity of the big funds announcing they were divesting their oil investments at the worst possible time because of ESG reasons further depressing the price and inflating the price of tech such as Tesla. They were all wrong all those highly paid financial experts
