Basic bank account opening

    I currently live in Dublin. I have a Visa Stamp2, which allows me to study and work (part-time). I need to open a basic bank account. I want to know what are the requirements to do it?

    We're glad to hear you're interested in opening an account with ourselves. In order to open this account, you must be over 18, you must be legally resident in the EU, and you must not already hold a personal payment account or current account with any bank in the Republic of Ireland.     If you have ever had an account open in the republic of Ireland it is not possible to apply for a basic bank account.
