I never claimed anything about being friends with those who hold opposing views. I said she's a homophobe, and Davidson is a racist, bigoted scumbag. I stand by those assertions and have offered to demonstrate why I hold made them in the first instance. You have, very noticeably, swerved that offer because you know that you'll lose the wager. If a current or former politician said it however.......

I'm in favour of SSM because I don't believe the state should legislate against what consenting adults should be able to do.

That said, I don't think gay people should bother getting married even if it's legal. Leave that to straight people; stop adopting their lifestyle and diluting what was original about being gay.

Firstly even if you were gay and support homophobic groups or people, that's not a new phenomena. Eg Paddy Making was a vocal supporter of the Iona Institute during the marriage referendum, they're still a homophobic organisation.

Same sex marriage also was about rights that weren't afforded to gay couples and nothing to do with a loss of "originality".

Eamonn Holmes transition to GB News is a good move.

Holmes (and his wife) were elbowed out of This Morning in favour of younger talent. Ageism, yet again, discriminating against highly qualified presenters.

At least with GB News, Holmes can pocket a sizeable pay packet (and I doubt he'd have moved to GB News unless the figures are about right), meanwhile helping the channel grow. Even if it doesn't grow, Holmes can still pocket the value of his contract; a win-win situation.

That said, as an experienced presenter, I think he'll fit in quite well on GB News. I know he'll be abused to death on here for the temerity of joining GB News - but it puts to sleep the nonsense that only "nobodies" work for GB News. We have Brazier, Farage, Eamon Holmes, Darren McCaffrey, Isabel Oakeshott, Dan Wootton, Alistair Stewart, Arlene Foster (and many more).

Unlike most people, I actually think David Icke is very intelligent.

His "act" is to prey on the intellectually vulnerable - and it is an act. Icke doesn't really believe in the conspiracy theory nonsense, but he knows how to profit from it. From his sold out world tours to books to $99 Ickonic membership website; Icke knows his market and has made millions from it. His estimated net worth is in excess of $10 million.

Icke isn't stupid. He doesn't believe what he claims to; it's, like Alex Jones, an act to persuade gullible, stupid people about conspiracy theories. And let's be honest, there are plenty of these idiots around.

The fact that Icke still gets thrown around as that "mad guy" shows how effectively he has performed this act.
