It’s an awful pity that there isn’t a stronger candidate against him which would have removed or at least reduced the chances of Trump maintaining the middle ground.

I think this is an understated point of view. The man is not a brilliant politician, by any means.

The democrats really have struggled to groom a decent candidate since Obamas term was coming to an end. On inauguration day 2012 somebody should have held a meeting and said 'we have 4 years to actually have somebody decent' and this may never have happened.

It seems like they're not even trying anymore.

Just how ****ty are his businesses if the Banks wanted personal Guarantees on $421m in loans?

This guy is a supposed Billionaire.

To you think Bezos, Musk and other real Billionaires are using their own wealth as collateral?
Or has any bank said, nahh Amazon or Tesla aint enough as collateral, we want your personal wealth too.

Id say Trumps personal fortune is worth less then $150m. There is zero chance he was ever a billionaire.

Id say there will be calls on those 421m if he loses because the feds and States will be lining up with indictments.

Both HC and now Biden are perfectly fine and reasonable candidates. They just aren't what you like. But in any normal sphere they would be very strong front runners, as in fact they both are/were.

There is no way that the Democrats could have foreseen that just a large portion of the electorate would actually not only accept being lied to but actually welcome it.

They prepared politicians with experience (which was a massive issue levelled at Obama) and a history of strong positions and service. That that was all to be thrown back against them as being 'part of the swamp' rather than having experience (which funnily Trump now seem to deem as a good thing)

strongly disagree there, many American's simply dont connect with either, hence himself, and calling folks 'deplorables' really isnt all that intelligent!

And yet Clinton got more votes than Trump so she was more popular than him.

Regardless of how electable Clinton or Biden were/are, none of that changes what this thread is about; Donald Trump is a liar who is in serious debt stemming from numerous failed businesses and has likely broken numerous tax laws. He has repeatedly used his Presidency to shore up his own businesses through his incredible number of golf trips or holding events at his own businesses (including trying to hold the G7 meeting at his own business), and has lied to the American public numerous times about it. Not only that, but he has actively used the Justice Department to try and shield his personal tax returns and accounts from being investigated.

The man is a liar, a cheat, and a true hoax.

Trump called people that don't support him "Human Scum".

"Basket of Deplorables" is positively quaint in comparison.

Lol, If Biden wins on Nov 3rd you will see a lot of accounts disappear over night, a few days later a lot of new accounts will spout up telling us how terrible Biden is as president.

None of those groups are labeled as terrorists, except by the orange con man because, agenda. You can't just label a group as anything you want because you don't agree with them. And who are the "Communists" anyway.

I don't think Biden is "dreadful" at all.. He's dull , boring and milquetoast but that's kind of the point right now..

It's like after a week-long bender drinking shots and eating Vindaloo , what you really need is a glass of milk and a cheese sandwich.

Yes , the quinoa salad and mung-bean smoothie are probably better for you , but for now you just want a bit of plain.

Joe Biden is political Comfort food.

It wouldnt matter what level of calibre the dems put forward for the 2020 election. The likes of yourself would still be blindly lauding trump for his skill and prowess as a human being.

I mean its nothing short of amusing. Adults will go to the levels they go to put a tv star on such a pedestal as something to aspire to.

Its nothing short of boy band teenage crush nonsense in all its glory.

    Two questions, OP;

    1) Why now? Because of the election. It’s all political. Not about right from wrong with the media and the Democrats.

And by the way, offsetting losses against actual gains isn’t tax evasion.

    2) Why refer to the last 15yrs? Because by going further back, it’ll have been shown he paid X tax beyond that period. So now it’d become ‘Trump paid income tax in 10 of the last 20 years’ or whatever. Not as sexy anymore for the media.

Don’t get sucked into their game.

    1) I disagree. People have been trying to get their hands on these documents for years. Every other presidential candidate has released them. This has been a very long time coming. Further to your timing point, if Trump doesn't like it, he could have released them when he said he would. He never did and stalled the ball, and will continue to (until now that is) and still cover up what he can.

    2) Because those are the records they obtained? There's far more to the story than just income tax paid, plenty sexy on it's own merits. :pac:

You are correct - But it's the scale of the losses that are significant and hugely damaging to "Brand Trump".

What it shows is that his actual businesses - Hotels , Golf Courses , Real Estate are all consistently losing money , year after year after year.

His ENTIRE persona and also the only thing that he actually makes money off it would seem, is the myth that he is a super successful deal-making Business maven.

This information shows that in reality , he is a very very poor business man and without the hundreds of millions of dollars he inherited from his father he'd be penniless.

If proven true (and I have no reason to believe that the NYT would risk everything on a fake) this utterly destroys "Donald Trump" the brand and likely signals the end of Donald Trump the man as without the brand no one is going to give him a penny nor will they forgive him his debts.

If it's true that he has hundreds of millions in debt that's due to be paid off then thiss is huge and will make him desperate.

Now that this news is out there the vultures will be circling, as soon as he is out of the whitehouse he is going to get hammered for payments.

Be nice now if the mainstream liberal media could just focus on who is doing / will do the best job for America instead of this constant effort to by the left to find sticks / twigs to beat him with given everything else they have tried in their efforts to take him down hasn't worked.

You probably think Trump is a white supremacist or working with the Russians, don't you?

Hahhaa, and you obviously deny the plain truth! Trump has a racist history as well as working with the Russians- was it just an inconvenient truth that he publicly spoke to Russia to hack emails for him, and then lo and behold, they did? :D
