    Hi,

I'm just looking at this Smart LG TV on your website and am interested in getting it if it suits my needs.

The TV is for my elderly mother(late 70's) and I actually came across your website after reading this other post on boards.ie as it was very similar to my predicament. She had an old SKY installation so the dish and the terrestrial aerial are still on her house.

I know the post on boards is now 2 years old but after reading the post I think it says that the Freeview will be Saorview in Republic of Ireland if I plug an aerial into it and that we can get BBC, ITV, etc if I plug the cable from her dish into the TV,  is that still the case?

If not, do you sell any Smart TV similar to the one described in the post from a couple of years ago. She watches the odd show on Netflix that's why I was looking for a smart TV

    Thanks, David

    Hi folks,

I think I just found my answer as you already answered this question back in August

I can see from your reply that BBC iplayer won't work for my mother, but will Netflix work in Republic of Ireland or is that location locked too?

    Thanks, David

    Hi David.

That is correct that the BBC Iplayer will not work as it is a UK service.
Netflix and other standard apps will work with no issues.

It is only the UK catch up TV apps that should not be available.

You will be able to get BBC, ITV, Channel 4 (FreeSat) etc... via the satellite tuner as this does not region lock.

Any questions please let us know.

    Kenny.
