laptop with graphics card

hi guys my daughter is starting college and is doing film so she needs a laptop with a good graphics card for editing
her professor had said she needs a graphics card mx150
and 8gb ram
intel i5 processor or equivalent at least
what is the best value laptop that covers those bases

you're looking at something like €850 or so for a laptop new with an mx150 / 250 / 350 (all similar enough specs just slightly updated model) or equivalent (4700u or 4800u would be similar graphics capability built in -> "igpus" on AMD 4000 cpus and the video rendering would be good on these chips due to more cores). There are new intel cpus on the way (out beginning Oct sometime but could be longer before widely available) that will have igpus as goos as the mx cards.

a colour-accurate screen - e.g. sRGB value of near 100% or higher - (yes can go over 100) is also a consideration.

Sorry to be hijacking the thread, but would you think that magicbook pro would be very capable of video editing even small 4K videos? Looking at the specs myself there and it seems good value for what it is. I had considered the matebook but that just wouldnt be up to editing I think.

I think that the magicbook pro linked above would be a very good option then

the most intensive video tasks are actually cpu-based and the cpu in that is more powerful than most laptops as it can run at higher watts when needed
the gpu matches the mx150
the screen is colour accurate yet 16 inches
it has 16gb ram which is preferable for video work

it would handle 4k pretty well yes
