They seem pretty costly in store.

Any outlet that facilitates online purchase at a more reasonable cost?

Also - is it possible to refill the cartridges from a vial?
i.e. use a syringe to withdraw from a vial and use that to refill the cartridge?
As I have a bunch of vials I don't want to let go to waste.

Insulin in Ireland is usually free as it's covered by the LTI scheme.

In the rare instances it needs to be paid for, it would usually fall within the Drug payments scheme.

I use a Lantus pen and it's not refillable. The plunger only advances and can't be wound back.
This is a safety feature AFAIK.

As for buying, if you have a valid script then it can be bought in pharmacy but not so far as I know online, or at least not from a non-Irish pharmacy as importation without a license is an issue.
