Hi there, looking to replace an approximately 12-year old Sony Bravia 32" tv with a Philips Ambilight 43". Have heard good things about the Ambilight technology so an interested in trying it out. Tv will be used mainly for TV (Saorview and possibly Sky). Sound is not too important as have an external soundbar to connect to it. Have ye anything to fit the bill? Looking at 43" max to fit room. Thanks.

    Hi tadgho,

Thanks for the post and apologies for the delay getting back to you!

The Philips Ambilight TVs are great! There are two main models however I only have one available at the moment! This would be the 43PUS7805 which has a great micro dimming panel and supports Dolby Vision!

We are still waiting for stock to come in of the Philips 43PUS8555 which has a better processor and the Android operating system but we still don;t have an ETA on those models unfortunately!

    Kind regards

    David

Hi, just wondering if ye ever got stock of the 43PUS8555 or similar? Android operating system is desirable. Thanks.

    Hi Tadgho.

The 43PUS8555 is not one the we sold unfortunately.

In a 43" for Android you would need to go for the Sony 43XH8196 priced at £599

For the PUS8555 you would be starting at the 50" version priced at £449 (Currently pending stock).

OK not to worry! Kinda had my heart set on a 43" Philips Ambilight with Android to be honest! Anyway, will have a look around and see what Black Friday throws up! Thanks.

    Guys,

just for clarity - we do sell the 43PUS8555 - but it is in huge demand and stock is critically low in stock so we took the decision to take it off the site as we only have enough stock for in-store callers at the moment.

Its currently £399 - but again we don't have enough stock or a guaranteed ETA to allow us to put it back online - apologies!
