Donald Trump is a magnificent man. He's probably the greatest leader the world has ever seen. He's heroic. He's modest. He's a world class peacemaker. He should win the Nobel peace prize ten times in a row. He really cares about, not just the citizens of America, but the citizens of the world. Yes Donald is just great and we should all pray for him.

I'm trying to be level 11 of sarcasm here but that is the level of delusion of some of his fanboys on here.

    Top post.

I don't understand the last sentence though. I couldn't really concentrate enough to read down that far. Can you delete that one.

    Love? lol

I've already stated that I don't agree with everything he says or does.

Why does it have to be reduced to either loving Trump or hating him to the point of thinking he's evil and wishing death on him?

Where has the actual balance gone from public discourse?

It's like society is digressing when it comes to these type of discussions. More people from previous generations could disagree with someone else's politics or world views, and yet still manage to not be filled with hatred.
Fair enough I took your statement about effective leadership as a thumbs up for trump.
I too am against the polarisation of views. That was my point.

He might e an effective leader by your standards, but he isn't a leader according to the standards of how many other people would judge leadership and that's the part that you failed to see (and conveniently missed when you jumped in me calling you a Trump fan).

Its simple. Sarcasm is what you call it when you are caught out saying something daft. Like instructions to drink bleach.

    Not really...

I recognised how useless Leo was as a leader, even before he got into the big office... his contrived media persona/image never once fooled me into thinking he was fit to lead our country. And so it transpired.

Same with the venerable CMO Dr. Hoolahan, I was never fooled by the public fawning over him or the appeals to give him some slack because "he has a tough job"... He may very well have a tough job, but he was/is still a poor leader.

I recognise Trump as an effective leader, because I know what that means... and I don't get tripped up by the negative rhetoric that surrounds him or the agenda that fuels most of the character assassinations that have plagued his presidency. I have the ability to see past all of that BS... it's unfortunate more people do not have that ability or even just the motivation to try! :)

He certainly is an effective leader of the white supremacy movement. You’re right. They’re having an incredible resurgence under his presidency

I think we have it already.

The 'banning' of Richard Dawkins from a Trinity debate being a good example. I wouldn't agree with all that he says but not allowing him to speak is ridiculous. He should be challenged not cancelled.

I'm always amused that people , it doesn't matter who you are deserve a platform in whatever setting.

Why is that a thing ?

    ?

    What utter horse manure.

The White Supremacist movement has never been weaker and is a fringe movement, one of the largest Nazis groups has 300 members, the Klan have 5000, mostly older.

    Ultra fringe.

I hadn’t heard about This society revoking an invitation to Dawkins, but I guarantee that this would have been far from a unanimous decision and if I was a student in that society I would be absolutely furious and would campaign endlessly to have that ‘auditor’ removed from that position

Are you saying the movement was stronger under the 8 years of Obama’s presidency? Because if you don’t have evidence of that, you’re gonna need to look up the definition of resurgence

“ This year's report showed that the number of hate groups has grown for four straight years.

"This time period dovetails with [Donald] Trump's campaign and then his presidency, a period that has seen a 30 percent increase in the number of these groups," Beirich said.”

Of course it is easy. He could literally not bother to pretend he has any symptoms and it would fall in line with the vast majority of people's experiences (they are asymptomatic). And since when is 74 "elderly"? Did I fall asleep and wake up in the middle ages?

Sorry to break it to you but the strong likelihood is that he will suffer nothing worse than a head cold.

74 is statistically 6 to 10 years away from death and a good bit into a pension so ya elderly

How do you even get to that?

    Nuts.

Elderly means being past middle age, usually notably so. How many 148 year olds do you know?

Then if it's already here we are in a very bad place.

Ah so it's already here and things seem fine. Panic over.

This might have been mentioned in the thread before so apologies if so.

Trump was not tested before the debate on Tuesday because he arrived too late.

There was an honour system used where he said he didn't have it and that was accepted.

His family then took off their masks later during the debate.

    Edit;
Did they know Hope Hicks was tested at that stage?

Wait, what? Now we're arguing that Trump as a 74-year-old isn't elderly? He's almost a decade past retirement and less than five years away from the upper-end of American life expectancy - 78.87 years.

    He's ancient.

Your not answering my question. Why does everyone deserve a platform ?

    Regardless of subject

Given that Biden is 77 years old, if Trump infected him with the virus, and he died before the election, can a dead person be elected president, would his running mate automatically get promoted to president?
The US system of having a fixed presidential election date sure makes for a lot of interesting permutations when all of the different kinds of Sh1t hit the fan at the same time

Now I’m no fan of Trump but it was Thursday before Hicks tested positive unless you can point to evidence that they knew about her status earlier.

Are you referencing when democrats were saying it was racist to implement the travel ban?

Or whenDr. Fauci said there was no need for anyone to change what they were doing?

Let me ask you, Tony - if Trump didn't think Coronavirus could make someone seriously ill, why did he mobilize the private sector to manufacture and distribute much needed supplies to fight the virus?

    Your cheap propaganda isn't working.

They are both ancient and unfit for office. Biden will be in his 80's if he serves 4 years. It reflects so badly on the American political system that this is the best we can do.

Not Everyone deserves a platform. But Dawkins has certainly earned one given that his views, even if controversial at times, are very well thought through and reasoned and well intentioned

I absolutely would not be in favor of giving prestigious platforms to People with a proven track record of lying and bad faith tactics because debate platforms are notoriously vulnerable to people who invent their own facts to obfuscate and mislead the audience

(Apologies about random capitalization, typing on a phone and it’s a pain in the ass to go back and correct those)

Your correct, I corrected that post above. She felt unwell Wednesday and was Positive on Thursday.

The fact that he wasn't tested though has put a lot of people at risk.

She was the one taking the risk there I'd say!

    Stormy got paid well though.

In fact she got more money that his own county's revenue collectors. Think on that. Trump paid more money to a porn star for a bit of hanky panky than his own country.

    LOL...a great leader.
