The fact she felt the need to state the Hope Hicks part is a sure indicator there was knowledge of Hicks diagnosis within the administration.

Not the brightest bunch here in this administration.

Yeah, they were all being misled by Trump at the time, who'd had the information since January

    Had what information exactly?
and around 25 Feb was on about it going to disappear like a miracle, only 15 cases, yadda yadda.

And in the same interview he said it would likely get much worse before it got better but that if it did that his Administration would do all they could, which they did, and yes we know 214,000 have apparently died "from Covid" but those numbers are on par with Sweden, the UK and Italy (when it comes to deaths per capita) and so not so disproportionate that it's indicative of the US Government having failed it's people by being negligent. They broke their backs for heaven sake, working 24-7. Some states it seems dropped the ball alright but sure it is what it is, Cuomo I don't suppose meant anyone any harm, and at least felt that he was doing the right thing despite it of course turning out not to be the case, but sure hindsight is 20-20.
    Awful, selfish people.

Why is she awful? Biden has been in public gatherings without a mask. Think you're being extremely harsh there. Life has to go on. We can't shut down the world forever.

Pete, care to show the events where Biden wasn't wearing a mask and in close contact with multiple people? Trump was mocking Biden over the fact he wears masks on a constant basis, only last week.

Is there a general consensus on why Republicans tend to be "anti-science" or whatever?

    Trumps rage tweets are hilarious!

Trumps derangement syndrome at it best :pac:

    Claptrap!

Mask, social distance and wash hands. It's all we asked them to do. Then they give us the Rose Garden video :pac:

She went to the packed Rose Garden event. Did not practice social distancing. Did not wear a mask. Brought the virus home to her daughter, who in turn caught it from her.

I don't care that their dumb asses caught the virus when they were well aware of the precautions needed, yet wilfuly ignored them at their cult leader's behest, however to bring that dangerous dumbassery into your home and in turn infect your family, is awful, selfish behaviour.

    Do you disagree?

Enough that he said he downplayed it to prevent a panic. Said so himself
They broke their backs for heaven sake, working 24-7.
Between golf breaks? https://trumpgolfcount.com/displayoutings. Golf dates of interest here: Feb 1, Feb 2, Feb 15, March 7

Or on Rally days? 11 Feb, 28 March, 27 APril, 8 May, 20 May

Right, the #IMPOTUS takes no responsibilty. Not even offering to step in to those awful states that he had competing for PPE (when his WH wasn't confiscating PPE itself). He's the #POTUS. The buck stops with him.

Of course, if he loses and Biden wins, he can take no responsibilty as well, amiright?

Ah, you can't say Kayleigh isn't smart.

Have you ever seen her spar with reporters? She is sharp and competent.

And look at her education - she has a PhD from Harvard (technically a JD, but that's the equivalent of a PhD in law). She even spent time at Oxford.

    Here you go:

And a few hours earlier he was caught on camera talking up close with Anderson Cooper also, despite making sure to pretend to be about social distancing when the cameras were rolling. Political theatre.

Proof she's got the JD? Most sources show her 'attending.' Might be her JD came from the University of Miami.

Which Oxford. And a JD isn't a PhD at all not even close.

Thanks! FWIW, JD is not a PhD. My brother has one from a comparable Ivy law school. PhD is original research over something like typically 6 year period, thesis, thesis defense.

    Oxford UK.

A JD is roughly equivalent to a PhD in Law.

    From the American Bar Association:

    "WHEREAS, the acquisition of a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree requires from 84 to 90 semester hours of post baccalaureate study and the Doctor of Philosophy degree usually requires 60 semester hours of post baccalaureate study along with the writing of a dissertation, the two degrees shall be considered as equivalent degrees for educational employment purposes;

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that all appropriate persons be requested to eliminate any policy, or practice, existing within their jurisdiction which disparages legal education or promotes discriminatory employment practices against J.D. degree-holders who hold academic appointment in education institutions."

I'm not going to argue with you about this.

I also have a PhD. It took 4 years.

I think a JD takes around 3 years.

Anyway, the general point is she is educated and not a dummy.

Those are simply not comparable. These are really minor compared to organising the kind of event super-spreader event that puts Herman Cain in the ground. I get that you're trying your best but this isn't great.

Biden has grandchildren. Was him talking to those firefighters a few weeks back with no mask on "dangerous dumbassery"?? Had he contracted the virus would you be on here saying he was dumb ass who brought it into his home?

You're damn sure I'd be saying the same thing. If Biden recklessly advocated not wearing masks, mocked people for wearing them, held packed rallies, refused a test before the debate, went to another event knowing one of his close contacts had tested positive and then brought the virus home to his family, I'd be the first in line to call him a selfish dumbass.

So the Media expected him to leave his hospital bed while infected with Covid and greet his fans.

You mean at the debate? Trump had a mask in his pocket at the debate - he only mocked Biden wearing one when it was clearly not needed.
    held packed rallies,

Be hard from him to do that tbf.
refused a test before the debate,

Wasn't he tested already that day? That's what I seen reported at least.
went to another event knowing one of his close contacts had tested positive and then brought the virus home to his family

Well, apparently the White House deemed him fit to travel as he didn't have direct contact with Hicks. You can't expect the POTUS to stop all engagements just because someone in the White House contracts the virus.

Interestingly, no contact tracing going on based on the SCOTUS nomination party last week. The US really isn't doing contact tracing, is it? I haven't kept up but I don't see a lot of news about it, it's a huge job especially on the US scale. I think the US has punted, its the kind of thing that the feds would have to lead on as it's likely to span states.

But, on the #IMPOTUS' watch, unlikely - he takes no responsibilty, after all.
