I wonder what her thoughts are of people being declared of having died WITH covid as opposed to FROM Covid

I'm not sure her candour will be appreciated by the victim's families. Far too casual. It's all a big joke.

I have a Huawei P30 Lite.Great phone, but unlikely to get another Huawei when upgrading.

I upgraded to the Huawei P31, a great phone in fairness but somehow I ended up working in a concentration camp in China

The O’Reilly murder was truly bizarre..couldn’t make it up..

Hopefully that man spends at least another 15-20 years banged up!

Whose family is she talking about? Didn’t hear her mention anyone yet. She’s rarely in the public eye, strange point.

Everything she is talking about is a real case.

I think it is very unprofessional - she works for the state. She isn't a celebrity and it is not a topic for entertainment.

Even her cheerfull delivery is a bit inappropriate.

    Mentioned a family now.

She didn’t mention any case by name though. Tubs has now asked her about one.

Jesus if she was sitting there looking miserable it’d be “here’s the misery slot”.

Dealing with that type of stuff, you have to develop a sense of humour or how the hell else could you do it.....

    Took dogs for walk.

Come back in, turn on telly.

    First words I hear...

Ryan: "It's such a sad and horrible story..."

It really is quite a programme, the Late Late.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,453 ✭✭✭CH3OH

surely she would have signed a confidentiality agreement covering her employment

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,700 ✭✭✭✭Muahahaha

Little known fact- after the Graham Dwyer murder trial Marie Cassidy came out and said she didnt think he could be found guilty on the forensic evidence. She quickly retracted her statement but it was too late and what she sad has now formed part of Graham Dwyers appeal against his conviction.

No Ryan, you couldn't be a state pathologist if you were disturbed by the sights.

That's exactly what I was going to post. It really is ridiculous what is happening here. I'm wondering will she regret this, and all the laughing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,541 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

In fairness, I say you would develop a bit of a detachment in a job like that. They must come across some horrific scenes.

    I think she is great.

Did she ever do the horatio sunglasses thing at a scene?

People have told me that when dealing with death on a regular basis you have to be cheerful to get through it.
She’s retired now and has had a great career. All credit to her.

I'm ****ing sick of people in state jobs - using their celebrity or writing a book or working in lobby groups

She is as odd as ****

    and outrageously unprofessional

Oh give over will you

It’s like a nervous laughter, it’s not like she spends her time doing interviews on prime time Friday night tv.

I think the job has turned her to the demon drink.

That would explain the strange happy talk.

She has a personality very much like my mother had, most people can't figure out a cheerful person who can take a wry look at corpses, so to speak. It passed on to me on my irreverent gallows humour.
