    I am in Drogheda with eir broadband. I am having problems connecting to my work vpn. Would changing provider help? If so - any idea of who I should change to?

    To test the theory try connecting from the hotspot on your phone.

    WHat router are you using? It may be possible that it is blocking GRE protocol by default
