Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My first time seeing a Taycan in the wild - probably the same for the guy on the bike :)

I've seen a dark blue one local to me a few times. I think the owner lives in the same compound as me. They are painfully ugly in pictures yet in real life are stunning. Dark colours seem to suit them best.

He was probably wondering what the noise was - at low speed they do have an unusual hum to them.

I spotted this last weekend when pulling out of the junction at Lidl.

I think it's a pretty serious looking machine, better looking than some of the other electric cars out

Saw this today. Dodge charger. Animal of a car.

That's a Challenger rather than Charger. Still an awesome machine though.

Looks like it could be this one. Can't be too many around

    https://touch.adverts.ie/car/dodge/other-dodge/2012-dodge-challenger-r-t-5-7-v8/12035982

Talking 2400 a year to tax if you use that reg on the motor tax site, it is for a 5.7L V8 though so...

Those 5.7 hemi aren't near as fast as you'd expect. I've one in a Jeep Grand Cherokee and there is nothing special about it.

    Also MOPAR = terrible reliability.

The interior in the first-gen Challenger is terrible too.

Really, really, bad. Looks and feels really cheap.

Is it not for all American cars?

I watch a show where some guys buy American cars and they always remind that the interior is inferior to European cars. And you can see the plastic is cheap looking on most if not all of them.

Yeah the interiors were all pretty bad in that era, but the Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge stuff were the worst, closely followed by the GM products. Ford was the best of the worst.

I was selling Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge vehicles in the US from 2007-2009 so saw them all first hand. They felt bad back then, get in one today and its so bad its funny.

    Thank you.

All virus affect my not only spotting but whole life. I never stopped working, even for one day but then i split with the girl, left me seeing my daughter weekends only and please dont feel sorry for that. When i finally got over it, I feel happier withour her (ex gfm not daughter) and my spotting not exist at all. I back where I start. Spotting in town. Walking around looking for some nice cars to take photos of but it's a lot different now than it was 15 years ago. No shows and no abroad trips made it from 55.000 photos of nice cars in 2019 to 750 photos in 2020 and so far 400 in 2021. I was trying to get some photoshoot with very little success but i keep trying and hopefully something will work for me but we'll see. But I will not give up photographing cars, that will never happen.

Sorry for late answer but I didn't want to post without photos so here is what I saw today with picture of only one car:

Went for a little spin with my daughter town centre, Howth and Malahide. Saw Alfa Romeo Giulia QV (MH reg), BMW 1M (love those cars), M4 x2 and M3 e92 on english reg heading towards tunnel. on the way back from Malahides spotted this:

Yeah but they are cheap in the US but you get a lot of bang for your buck. 55k gets you a supercharged 710bhp RWD coupe. Nothing close in the that power/price range comes close. A BMW M3 has 500bhp and starts at 73k in the US and for that you probably get windy windows and a tape deck

Yeah you can also get them in different variants and with performance packs such as SRT Hellcat, Scat Pack, wide body Red Eye, etc. These cars can come with over 800bhp for well under 90k USD. These cars are designed for the quarter mile drag strip mainly so soft touch interior plastics or corners are not priority for Americans.

No, I heard from a reputable source that 580k is the actual price of his car as delivered. I haven't a clue what extras may have been specced within that.

The easiest way to avoid confusion with a real Garda car would be to use a decent motor for the prop rather than a shyte bag Hyundai like the real ones are. Skoda Superb or a Toyota Camry maybe.
