    It's like something you'd see on Waterford Whisper News.

    I would expect to hear from the lawyers for Waterford Whispers News for that heinous defamation.

    Why was Hunter Biden on the board of Burisma? What qualifications did he have to sit there? Does he speak Ukrainian?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,236 ✭✭✭mcmoustache

    I'm not sure that blocking this story. It's a stupid story that would only be gobbled up by the most gullible.

    It's the same dumb Burisma scheme from before, only now with the guy who conned Trumpers out of wall donations. Its ineptitude speaks for itself.

    I think the block has blown this up more than it would otherwise.

    Most likely Burisma seeing opportunities with having a Biden on board and Hunter Biden willing to use his name to further himself.

    Little did they know that Biden, with backing from the GOP and other international institutions would pressure the Ukranian government to fire the guy who refused to investigate.

    We're supposed to believe that this "PC Repair shop owner" randomly decided to copy the HD of this system and give it to Rudi Guilianis lawyer almost 18 months ago (April 2019) but Rudi did nothing with it, didn't tell anyone, didn't give it to the Senate investigation that wrapped up a while ago.. Just sat on it before deciding that the absolute best thing he could do with it would be to slip it to a journalist for the New York Post.

    Yeah.. That scans.

    If that’s the best the Trump campaign can come up with its over, if it wasn’t already.

    So the answer is, nepotism is ok - everyone is doing it?

    Wasn't it roughly around this time, that the Clinton emails blew up and the beautiful butterfly that was to be "first ever female president".... suddenly morphed into the ugly slimy slithering slug of "crooked hillary"... deflating one of the biggest hot air balloons in history, and killing the dreams of millions of woke teenage drama queens everywhere? ;)

    Or do I have my dates slightly off?

    Email scandals... the polls are shifting... anyone starting to get that sinking feeling? It couldn't happen again, could it? COULD IT? Surely not... I mean, he's home and dry right?

    Nepotism is not on the ballot this election.

    The Clinton email thing didn't break from New York's equivalent of the news of the world....

    A New York Post editor tried to tweet about Biden but got denied.
    Seems like election manipulation

    His text:
    This is a Big Tech information coup. This is digital civil war.
    I, an editor at The New York Post, one of the nation’s largest papers by circulation, can’t post one of our own stories that details corruption by a major-party presidential candidate, Biden.

    “In line with our Hacked Materials Policy, as well as our approach to blocking URLs, we are taking action to block any links to or images of the material in question on Twitter,” wrote Twitter spokesperson Nicholas Pacillo in response to Recode’s questions about why Twitter blocked the article.
    Distribution of hacked material policy
    Overview
    March 2019

    We don’t condone attempts to compromise or infiltrate computer systems for malicious purposes. As such, we don’t permit the use of our services to directly distribute content obtained through hacking that contains private information, may put people in physical harm or danger, or contains trade secrets. You also may not threaten to hack or break into someone’s digital information or attempt to incentivize others to do so.
    Note: Our private information policy covers the sharing of private information without consent, regardless of how the private information was obtained.
    What is in violation of this policy?
    Under this policy, you can’t directly distribute hacked materials. This includes:

    posting hacked content on Twitter (e.g., in the text of a Tweet, or in an image); and
    linking to hacked content hosted on other websites.
    You also can’t make threats about hacking, including:
    threatening to hack or break into someone’s computer systems;
    threatening to post hacked materials;
    attempting to incentivize others to do so (e.g., through setting a bounty or reward on such actions); and
    offering or agreeing to assist others in doing so.
    What is not a violation of this policy?
    You can discuss a hack that has taken place (including reporting on a hack, or sharing press coverage of hacking), provided that you don’t include someone’s private information, information that could put people at risk of physical harm or danger; and/or information related to trade secrets.

    Who can report violations of this policy?
    Anyone can report the distribution of materials obtained through hacking, whether they have a Twitter account or not. In some cases, we may need to hear directly from the owner of the information being shared (or an authorized representative, such as a lawyer) before taking enforcement action.

    How can I report violations of this policy?
    In-app

    You can report this content for review in-app as follows:

    Select Report Tweet from the icon.
    Select It’s abusive or harmful.
    Select Includes private information.
    Select the type of information that you’re reporting.
    Select the relevant option depending on who owns the information you are reporting.
    Select up to 5 Tweets to report for review.
    Submit your report.
    Desktop

    You can report this content for review via desktop as follows:

    Select Report Tweet from the icon.
    Select It’s abusive or harmful.
    Select Includes private information.
    Select the type of information that you’re reporting.
    Select the relevant option depending on who owns the information you are reporting.
    Select up to 5 Tweets to report for review.
    Submit your report.
    You can also report this content for review via our private information report form by selecting the type of private information that you want to report.
    What happens if you violate this policy?
    Directly distributing hacked materials will result in permanent suspension when:

    you claim responsibility for the hack;
    we’re able to reliably attribute a hack to the account sharing that content;
    an account’s main purpose is to distribute hacked materials; or
    you engage in repeated distribution of hacked materials, repeated threats to hack, or repeated attempts to incentive hacking.
    In other instances, we may lock your account and require you to delete specific Tweets that violate this policy. If you believe that your account was locked or suspended in error, you can submit an appeal.

    I was wondering why this was being pushed by the orange order

    https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2020/10/giuliani-and-the-new-york-post-are-pushing-russian-disinformation-its-a-big-test-for-the-media/

    "That is, the Post piece, based on an unproven smear, is in sync with Moscow’s ongoing effort to influence the 2020 election to help President Donald Trump retain power. (The FBI and other parts of the US intelligence community have stated that Vladimir Putin is once again attacking the US political system to boost Trump.) And this story presents a challenge to the American media: how to report on an orchestrated campaign to affect the election that relies on disinformation, salacious and sensational material, and the revival of allegations that have already been debunked. "

    Sad

    That's true for many voters. Biden wouldn't have been on my own shortlist, but Trump is incompatible with government.

    Comon people, have some integrity. If this was Trump you people would be having a FIELD DAY. Just admit you were wrong about Biden. He is corrupt!

    "Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” the email reads."

    Nice video of a swamp being drained thanks to Axios:
