Well it would be a bigger upset than Truman v Dewey or even Trump v Hillary last time.

Are you saying that they do have a whiff of truth about them but it is sensationalist - on closer scrutiny they are fairly innocuous?

I'm saying even if they were plausible in spite of their untrustworthy source, there's no suggestion Biden was involved.

Sorry not to confirm your straw clutching.

It is clutching at straws to quote an email addressed to Joe Biden's son saying thank you for an "opportunity to meet your father" and then saying there is no suggestion Biden Sr was involved!

You remember me mentioning more attempts to smear Biden :D

You have to laugh at the desperation

There was someone here or on one of the other threads asking the exact same thing a couple of days ago when a couple of seconds googling would have shown it as a non-story. It’s just mud slinging in hope. It’s pathetic really but it’s where this is now.

Great, clever way to attract a new generation of voters while the Trumps concentrate on disinformation via Twitter.

He didn't link to a source.
    No source = no truth.

    Besides encouraging cheating, that is.

even more desperate when you consider that joe sold the house decades ago. He bought it as a rundown dump and did it up. ended up selling it at a very nice profit. Trump could learn something from him.

Trump did the reverse with the Trump Taj Mahal if that counts.

IIRC it sold for 4c on the dollar when all was said and done.

    Added, yup:

Trump built the Trump Taj Mahal for $1.2 billion
    It sold for $50 million

    That's million. With an 'm'

The art of the deal ;)

So it turns out the the house that Eric Trump tweeted about is not Joe Biden's house at all.

    You were saying about Truth?

What is it about the Trumps and their supporters - is lying their default setting?

Seems to be the case and in terms of his supporters not just limited to Trump but to how they approach other subjects also.

He sold it 24 years ago. When Eric was 12. Put it down to puberty.

I think the setting is just "must win" and they happen to be a bit crap at stuff so have to lie and cheat.

They started defending him when he was an unlikely hopeful for the GOP nomination pre-2016. Then he won but was unlikely to win the presidency until he did. They continued to defend him as it became clearer and clearer during his presidency how low, corrupt and devoid of intellect he is.

They've spent too long defending him to just stop. It's the sunken cost bias. If he can get away with spreading conspiracy theories, racism, calling Nazis "very fine people", mocking the disabled, conning people, screwing over contractors, advocating the injection of bleach to cure a respiratory virus and boasting about being able to recite five words in order then there's nothing he can do to lose their support.

It's resembling a cult more and more except with a really shoddy figurehead. Like one of Trump's "businesses".

In the blizzard of fake news about Biden being posted on here - doctored videos, tweets from Eric Trump, et cetera ad nauseam - while it passes time pleasantly to debunk them, it's important to take a giant step back and remember that, despite some minor flaws, Biden is actually a quality human being. Infinitely more so than the lying and immoral egomaniac known as Donald Trump.

Because for the GOP it's all about the courts and the power grab. Trump gave them a wave to ride into congressional majorities. They don't mind violating principles if the ends are met.

Sure. It's weird though. The Conservative party here in the UK is able to evolve but the GOP seem to use all sorts of political and legal acrobatics to desperately cling on like some sort of political tumor rather than evolve.

It's the oligarchs at the top who are set in their ways, take criticism or shame from nobody, and live longer than ever thanks to modern medicine while being lifelong lobbyists/donors/pursestrings.
