Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

hi folks,I moved to Eir 3 months ago
Vodafone are still billing me for service even though I was switched to eir
Who is paying the 200 euro bill?
    Voda are insisting its me
I'm on wait over 30 mins to eir
    Does this happen often?
I told voda I'm not paying and that I'm contacting eir and comreg
They said eir would refund me..and to pay up...

    What can I do?
37 mins now on hold to Eir and counting

Yes paying Eir for the last 3 months
Got through to Eir and they're saying its nothing to do with them

So you move broadband provider and you have to cancel the original service yourself or else you are billed
That can't be the case surely?

Did you give Eir the UAN for your Vodafone account?

    Yes
    Thats the puzzling thing
I mean surely both can't use the same uan anyway

    Don't pay.

    Block the Vodafone DD.

Eir should have contacted Vodafone as your old provider. Either Eir or Vodafone have screwed up or both.

Eir should probably be your first point of contact with this. Try these escalation contacts. If Eir confirm that they told Vodafone that you left, then you need to re-contact Vodafone, ask for a a manager and ask for a complaint reference and tell them you are going to Comreg.

    They've sent a new bill

Eir never rang me back regarding the fcuk up on the service switch

€300? Jayus. Typical Eir customer care hellscape not returning calls.

Have you blocked the DD and requested a chargeback on anything Vodafone has incorrectly taken from you?

Have you contacted the Eir escalation contacts?

Is it FTTH or FTTC? Was phone number transferred?

Ccm@eir.ie is their complaints address. After 10 days of no reply then go to Comreg.

Complain to vodafone also, they must know that you haven't used their service since the move or is the bill from them for equipment?

I used to work on the Vodafone system that handled this scenario, Eir should have sent a port out notification to Vodafone which would have then deprovisioned your Vodafone service. I'd just keep refusing to pay, they'll most likely write it off eventually.
