I've already messed with Wicklow with my nomination :pac:
You haven't nominated a...building? For the Garden County?

    (I feel dirty saying that...:))

The caves please, not familar with the others though they all look good.

I swear to God - you mess with my Wicklow vote and... :D

Well I'm likely to be familiar with many of the Wicklow choices as its only down the road from Dublin and probably would've taken it very seriously, but now that you've told me not to mess with it I'm afraid I'll likely have to... ;)

    Hold tight, it's a draw. Tie-breaker incoming.

Unfortunately came after the expiration time so is void.

Marble Arch Caves ; I love caves

Doesn't overtly describe the landmark so best I can award is 0.5
Cuilcagh Mountain Trail - no contest for me, climbed it last summer and the views were spectacular.

Describes the views after personally experiencing them. 1 - 0.5 to Cuilcagh

Wow. Going to be honest here and say I knew nothing about Fermanagh, but they all look decent nominations.

I'll go with the Stairway to Heaven based purely off the photos (though it's kind of cheating for me to vote having admitted I'd never heard of any of them!)

Again, not elaborating on what they liked in particular. Another .5 is all I can give. 1.5 - 0.5 to Cuilcagh

Marble Arch caves. Looks quite cool.

Nothing too concrete. 0.5 awarded. 1.5 - 1 to Cuilcagh

Stairway to Heaven - other sites that have come up, I've known or had some awareness of but wow this was straight out of the blue - one for my must see list.

    .5 but I do appreciate the eagerness. 2 - 1 to Cuilcagh
I've been to Devenish and it is class, as is the boat trip there but vote Cuilcagh Mountain Trail aka Stairway to Heaven as it's right near the top of my to-do list, looks amazing

    Another 0.5 to Cuilcagh Stairway here. 2.5 - 1
    Marble Arch Caves

Stairway to Heaven looks like the work of an apprentice carpenter.

    Doesn't really address the Caves. 0.5 awarded. 2.5 - 1.5 to Cuilcagh

    :)

My vote for marble arch caves, know them all well, this is my favourite

1 full point awarded on foot of the poster's experience of the caves. All square here. 2.5 - 2.5

Stairway to Heaven - I've wanted to do that for ages, had completely forgotten about it, thanks for the reminder!

    0.5 here. I can fully recommend the trip! 3 - 2.5
    Kolido wrote: »

Can only award a .5 here in the interest of fairess. That levels us up again. 3-3.

At this juncture I'm going to select the best reason given which is JohnGreenFan's
Cuilcagh Mountain Trail - no contest for me, climbed it last summer and the views were spectacular.

Cuilcagh Mountain Trail aka Stairway To Heaven advances and will represent Fermanagh

    Poor Fermanagh.

The worst representative through thus far.

The photos don't do it justice. It's a wonderful trek and wildly popular.

County Galway will be up later this evening, followed by Kerry. Both are heavily stacked and will require preliminary bouts. See you all then.

    Time-ish??

Perfect timing for me, have to head out now, but will be in this evening.

We'll have weeks of entertainment out of this at the rate it's going! :D

For shame. One of the highlights of my summer. Definitely well worth the trip to Fermanagh just for it.

    Forgot this beaut for Dublin...

I'm up here now, looking over Dublin the Poolbeg chimneys should definitely have won!

There's a random one; the old lead mines. Would have thought that was a little bit too obscure for a Dublin nomination myself!

Sometimes the more obscure ones are best alright - great view out over the sea, and rarely that many people up there. Looks like you got a nice day for it as well.

I'd certainly plump for that over the Guinness Experience anyway.

Best out of these imo. Spanish Arch a close second. But I like the setting for Oranmore Castle, have a mate who lives there and we take a spin out to it if I'm down and the weather is good (which is almost never in Galway but that's a different issue)

I never got the love for Spanish Arch. Am I missing something because all I saw was 2 dank little tunnels.

Anyway I'll go for Quay Street as to be honest I don't know much about the other 2

Quay Street ; pre-covid I'd often head out to Galway City for a break of a few days, and always loved the cosiness of Quay Street

Quay Street wins and advances to the Galway Qualifying Play-off

Quay Street - its a really happy buzzy (pre covid) stroll down there.
