It's very telling that these Leinster counties have road art as landmarks
Inspired by the violin, I've sent in a few more as nominations - hope I don't get barred for annoying the host! :D

I love them (well, most of them), esp the ones on motorways - points of interest in an otherwise often stupefyingly boring drive!

Maybe after we could have an all Ireland road art competition

Catch me by PM if you want a few pointers on it. It's handy enough!

I suspect that's one of my late additions - good to hear others thought of it!

Sorta has to be the castle doesn't it....

Thomond Park impressive but not in the same stratosphere as the castle imo

The castle. Has much more character

  • Registered Users Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

    King John's Castle for me!

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 7,245 Mod ✭✭✭✭cdeb

Is that really it for Limerick?

I'll go for the castle, though from memory it's relatively ordinary. As Thomond is relatively ordinary for a stadium.

My favourite Limerick landmark is any road out of there.

For the purpose of this tournament - the castle.

King John's Castle advances and will represent Limerick

Slim pickings there again, but the Boyne Valley Bridge does stand out for miles around, which I guess makes it a good landmark.

That bridge is pretty bloody amazing. But I'm gonna go for the Viaduct. Absolutely picturesque
