Well, that was quite the rout :(

    The poor Tinnies!

Was wondering if any landlocked county would win a match up, but one will definitely manage that here.

The pyramid is doing nothing for me really, so the rock of Dunamase gets my vote.

Rock of Dunamase - as I've never been to either, it's the one I'd much prefer to travel to see.

Having lived only 20 mins form Kinnitty for 3 years ive never heard of the pyramid until now and im really curious about it.

Kinnitty Pyramid. Quirky and an interesting story behind it.

    The Rock of Dunamase.

    I'm fond of ancient strongholds.

The Rock of Dunamase for the nostalgic reason that I spent the first night of my honeymoon close to there. That was a long time ago now. Fort might have just been built actually. :D

Kinnity for me, not many pyramids round these parts

    Ooh Laois v Offaly nice.

I'll go for The Rock as it has real Lord of the Rings vibes.

I do love the sheer wackyness of the pyramid though and sad to see it out so soon

Kinnity Pyramid ; it's the only pyramid in the tournament

The Rock - we're meant to have castles and fairy bridges not pyramids and other things

That was a good tussle between two neighbouring counties, a decent Derby affair and a close contest. What way will the next match go?

    Antrim

    The Giant's Causeway

Science vs history! Im gonna go with the Giants Causeway, really unusual formation and iconic really

    Armagh Observatory

    Ooh, a nordy derby.

Haven't been to either, but a lot say the Giants Causeway is underwhelming. The planetarium sounds cool though, and we've contributed a lot to that area here. So I'll go for the planetarium

    OOOF. That's a toughie.

Gonna hand a vote to Armagh Observatory and Planetarium here.

Has more importance than the Causeway, even if the former is slightly more impressive.

Hmm. I think the causeway is way overrated. The planetarium, while it looks good as a facility, I don't know if it's really a landmark as such.

So I'll go with the Giants Causeway for this round.

Offaly close one, end of the Rhode, pyramid Rahan a good race, went Doon fighting.. Etc etc... (sorry, last opportunity for that line of guff in this competition, had to be done :)

Giants Causeway for the folklore element

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,924 ✭✭✭✭breezy1985

Causeway just for its iconic status

Giant's Causeway ; there are countless Planetariums on this planet, the Causeway is much more unique
