Jesus Wept. I hope to f**k the GPO isn't crowned the overall winner... especially seeing how enamoured several people seem to be by it.

Kylemore Abbey, because I've been there and it's absolutely magnificent - both the building itself and the setting in the wilds of Connemara.

I wonder is it being skewed by there likely to being more dubs voting on this than other counties? Or more people likely to have some experience of the centre of the Capital vs the more remote Wexford..

    Kylemore Abbey
The initial view over the lake is stunning, and the grounds themselves are really nice for an afternoon out. I did find the house itself a bit meh inside but everything else was good

Friend of mine worked there for years & I spent lots of time there over those years. Lovely place

Well here's one Dub who voted vehemently against it!

Kylemore Abbey looks really lovely sitting on the edge of that lake

I like Kylemore its a lovely place, but King Johns Castle intrigues me more. Plus the night shot looks great.

Its because I'm from Dublin that I can't stand it. And I'm not the only one. I was annoyed that it even won the Dublin heat to the detriment of superior landmarks.

Although it may not have the history of the castle, I will vote kylemore, looks like a really impression building

Kylemore Abbey - might as well go for a Connacht clean sweep in this round.

Just a nicer building and setting than King Johns Castle I think.

I think the GPO can win the "famous associated quotes" battle too :)

The whole nation all 32 counties that are still not intact

Cherishing all the children of the nation equally

Tell that to those born in mother and baby homes

My point wasn't a quote, mine was a saying given to the language, in countries English is spoken even where people don't know where Hook or Crook is.

Ok, I think that's taking it a little bit too seriously now. Canvassing is over surely.

Kylemore wins for me here because, well, look at it.

King John's Castle. The view of the castle & Thomond Bridge from beside the stunning Sarsfield Boathouse is easily the most beautiful city centre vista in Ireland.

It used to be a pretty swell backdrop to a pint in the Curragower in the before time also. God be with the days.

Fun fact, the council built a housing estate inside it at one point which was later demolished due to it being insane.

Kylemore Abbey. I've been there and really liked it!!

King Johns Castle. I like a good castle.

And wtf, a council house within it?

Edit- wtf again. Not just a house but an estate? That’s gotta be a pisstake.

That's ridiculous, had to go and look it up!
